Remember, this is anatomy, not intro to basket weaving. You need to come in with the understanding that you will need to dedicate hours to this class to do well. He is more than willing to help you if you ask for it. He makes sure to only give you what you need to succeed, and nothing extra. Take pictures of everything, and work for your grade.

Horrible teacher. If you're going to take anatomy, please don't take it with him, HE EXPECTS YOU TO TEACH YOURSELF, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HIS TEST ARE DIFFICULT. Anatomy itself is difficult, and how he received HIGH RATINGS, are questionable. don't take him.... unless you like teaching yourself and waisting your time going to class. No study guides

By far the worst professor i've ever had. Stresses students out daily about how hard the course is, but is unwilling to help you learn the material. If you ask any questions he talks to you like your a 2 year old. I got more help from the tutor in the lab. Do not take his class unless you have time to teach yourself the material.

Anatomy: Prof. Hecht was one of those professors you will remember for the rest of your life. The notes are what will be tested and use the book as your references (both go hand in hand). He's okay with taking pictures of the slides b/c he doesn't provide them online. Take picture of the models, label them, and you'll do great. Amazing teacher!

Best professor that I have had thus far. He is so willing to help his students succeed. Very nice man! He grades on a curve based off six tests average. Utilize open labs. Let the notes be your guide. He puts everything important in the notes. Study study study!! This class is hard but you'll learn so much. Good luck

Total of 6 exams. 40 Practical & 60 MC Ques out of a possible 100. Grades were based on a natural curve. Print notes from BB & follow along during lecture. Take advantage of open labs! Helped alot. Study lecture notes, READ the chapters & MEMORIZE! Alot of work - no joke. Prof. Hecht is a good guy & very knowledgeable. I worked hard & got and 'A.'

He explains the lecture info. well. His tests our 50% practical and 50% multiple choice exam. The practical is not only hard, but it doesn't make sense. He is not clear on what he wants you to locate on pics./models. On the exam he takes all the questions from the book. So you will HAVE TO GET THE BOOK! I didn't do that and got a C in the class.

Hect was an AWESOME professor. Anyone who says otherwise obviously isn't willing to be in a college class where you have to actually work to earn your grade. This class is VERY hard but I still managed to get an A. He GIVES you all the powerpoint notes. You just have to print them. And he even drops your lowest test score! He's very helpful too.

I think all the coments he wrote himself! Lets be serious here. He is by far the worst teacher I've ever had. Smart students I had in other classes would fail his tests. Not for lack of effort but his tests were off the chart. Take another teacher or you will regret it! Oh and hes the only teacher that does not give specific study lists.

Some of the most interesting lectures I have ever attended. Nevertheless, many students struggle in this class. You have to study daily if you want to perform. He drops your lowest exam which is a rarity for an anatomy professor. Read his notes 10 times if you have to; many of his questions are directly from the notes. What a nice guy!

My only remark to human anatomy is "OMG, there is so much stuff to remember!" Prof. Hecht is a great teacher. Out of all the anatomy teachers at southwestern, he is the only teacher who drops your lowest exam. You REALLY need to devote your time & energy studying for the exams if you want a good grade. This goes for any human anatomy class.

Hardest class I've ever taken! Got a B. Gives copies of his PwrPnt presentations for each lecture (so no note taking) and a list of items he wants you to know for each chapter in the text. Read everything he hands out, as well as the text and lab book. Don't miss lecture or lab; you'll need all the study time you can get. Great personality!

Proffesor Hecht is a wonderful professor. He explains the material very well, and uses a well done power poit that is extremely helpful. This class is hard, interesting and challenging. The secret to getting a good grade in professor Hecht's class is study everyday as much as you can, and know his handouts inside and out!!! GOODLUCK!
