Very nice lady, easy material. Lectures tend to be badly organized. Grades are based on exam, in-class debates, written paper, group presentation. Participation counts, so you have to go to class. And she's very easy on the eyes.

Comment:
She's horrible when it comes to grading. She shows she cares in class, maybe even makes an honest effort; but her grading is totally horrible. You will have no idea what the heck she wants from the presentations or reports, and end up with an unpredicted grade. She won't make the effort to tell you what you did wrong, and how you could improve.

Comment:
Instructor focuses too much on Second Life- Most of the class discussions revolved around social networking concepts. Instructor could've talked more about specialized softwares currently in use in the industry and the advances being made in them. Try to avoid this instructor if you want a current idea of IT in industry, instead of future concepts

Comment:
The worst class of the first-year mba program. Work-to-usefullness ratio is way too high. Grading of the case briefings is infuriating in its arbitrariness--it helps to stick exactly to her questions and try not to think at all. For the big presentations, be creative and entertaining...that translates to a high score.

I really did not enjoy Iris' course at all. Too many tiem-consuming group projects that counted too little toward the final grade. Very nice person, but not very clear on what she wants. Paraphrased from her final review: a couple (up to 8) essay questions... Avoid if you could, but if you're in the MBA program, you're pretty much stuck.

Very nice person with a very arbitrary grading system. Test were picky and tricky no text to refer to when studying, made it the worst multiple choice ever.

She is a very helpful professor. The exams are difficult but the onus is on you to do your best. But she will definitely help you do better and in general even after the course. I recommend her strongly

Comment:
If you want to learn something, take someone else. No real lecture. Completely missed the point. Midterm is based on being a focus group for the Compaq Ipaq. This "midterm" has no educational value and a bit unethical in the classroom.
