One of the worst teachers in Seneca. Rambles useless info. Wants you to use 'pizazz' in your essay. Emailing him is a bad idea, he responds with 3 paragraphs, 1st and 2nd being useless info last one answering your question. Bad grader, he gives feedback but his handwriting is terrible. Overall wouldn't recommend him.

The course was not easy but a very exciting one. You will learn on your own, and in doing so, enhance your skills of critical thinking. Of course,with the guidance of the professor's wide knowledge of the course. I believe he's one of the best teachers. It's just a matter of how determined a student we are to learn and not to rely on spoonfeeding.

Jack is great! Very interesting person. He knows what he is teaching, and many indirect facts and historical information he gives, will help you to understand the text better! Hate people coming to his class to chat/eat or sleep. this is disrespectful. I miss his classes.

Jack is a really good teacher. It took a while to adjust to his unique style of teaching, but he is fair and easy marking and that's what matters at the end of semester. Unfortunatelly he left in a midlle of semester and he was replaced by other teacher who is a hard marker. Over all, Jack is a good teacher...

He is a hard marker, I usually get highter mark on English writing. but I get very low mark in his class. Some student said he gives mark depond on he like your essay or not, if he did not like you essay you don. If you care about you GPA I DO NOT recommend this professor.

Jack Burman is extemely helpful and passionate. My first day in the class I was dissapointed because he had a tendancy of rambling on, but I realized that everything he says has relevance. He was intimidating at first, but he's a really cool person. Understanding and easy going.

Jack Burman is the best English teacher i have ever had. He is very fair and helpful, and replys to emails within less then an hour. His classes are very interesting, but he likes to go out of his way and tell stories that would expand your knowledge about the world. You will enjoy him!!!!!!!

Jack was one of my best professors. His classes were very interesting and never boring. He is very helpful and will go an extra mile for a student. If you have grammar and spelling mistakes but good content he will consider it and will not deduct that many marks for spelling errors. Overall, Jack is a great professor!!!! Thank you Mr. Burman!
