Comment:
He is a very nice professor and knows his stuff. I liked the fact that he made me laugh during his lectures because the material can get boring and repetitive. It's not a hard class, but there is a lot of information to remember. There were several assignments throughout the semester and 3 tests. Overall, he was a good professor.

I don know why this class is stricter than the other accounting classes/I made As on framework and intermediate/Even though I worked hard for all the assignments of this class,I did not do well/Why? You need to learn how to do the software assignment by yourself/Marked your assignments strictly/Why he did not provide any marking schemes for us.

His class is not well structured. His PPT is not corresponding to textbook. He expects you understand and write down everything he says in class. Unless you are a female asian, he would tell you "figure it out on your own". Why doesn't UH have at least two professors for one class?

His class is not exciting. He's mean. He won't give a lot of instructions on the assignments or exams. but he's the only pro teaching AIS at UH. So, guys, good luck! you are on your own.

His class was not the best structured. He was always late to every lecture by at least 5 to 10 minutes. Your on your own for assignments unless your an female that is Asian. He will talk about former students telling him that AIS was important. He will promote BAP every class period (student org) because he receives a stipend from the org.

Stinson is a smart guy and his class isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Just come to class, pay attention and study for the tests and you can definitely get a A or B. You actually learn something in his class. A lot of what I learned has stuck with me and helped me at my job.

This is class is only hard is you last minute things because everything is time consuming. Its possible to just attend class, read lectures, the book and make a solid B. Pay attention in class (its hard since its boring) but it pays off when test time comes around.

Both the powerpoint slides and his lectures are very important sources of exam questions. Make sure you read over the textbook to help you understand the concept. If you need his help, follow him after class to his office otherwise you will never catch him. By the way, never share files with anyone (your projects), otherwise you're done!

Only one for AIS. 3 exams, no comprehensive final, A LOT of projects, but they were easy, time-consuming. NEED book(S). READ the chapters for exams. Doesn't take attendance, but try not to miss b/c he covers a lot. He gets off topic, a lot, but its pretty interesting. DON'T TEXT OR TALK IN CLASS (he will call you out)! Easy C, try for B, work for A

Stinson is the only teacher you have for AIS. He is so dull but he does teach you a great deal of stuff and his class isn't mandatory but RECOMMENDED. I missed out on one class and fell behind in the assignments. Keep up with his projects. AND READ your chapters for EXAMS. Only way to do well.

Stinson is pretty entertaining teacher but still pretty hard to stay awake in class. Exams are not as bad as other students said they were. Just pay attention in class because he emphasizes what will be on the test. Easy B at least.

A lot a material covered in this class. To do well you need to come to class, read the book and reveiw HIS powerpoints before the exam. Projects take a lot of time to complete. Not a hard class but the work in a pain in the rear. Dr. Stinson is a good professor and you will LEARN a lot from this class. No slacking though.

This guy is ridiculous. I read the book for his tests and still didn't do good on them. I went to class for clickers. His projects take lots of time, don't get behind! This is the hardest acct class to do well in it seems. I would say avoid stinson but he is the only one teaching..don't take a heavy load with this class. I hated this class!

The class isn't easy but isn't that hard at all. Especially for an accounting class. 6 projects and 3 exams. He doesn't use the textbook in class, but that material is still on the exam. I thought he made the material interesting and did well at teaching the material. Take Stinson if you actually want to learn and not just get an easy A.

mandatory attendance due to clicker usage. the lectures might be boring at times, but overall, it's not too bad. projects are long, so start them early. exams can be tricky, so pay attention. book isn't required, but you can surely read it if you want an A.

Dr. Stinson is a tough professor, but the way he has designed the course really helps you in the long run. The projects take long so get a head start on them all. I hated this class when I took it, but now I realize that all the projects we did are helpful towards applications in the real world.

Very difficult to follow. He gets side tracked very easy and his idea of a review is telling you to study the book. This is definitely a class you have to do all the work and do NOT get behind. NOT FOR SLACKERS
