Cell Bi is not that difficult by any stretch. Jane however is completely incomprehensible. She does not allow you to question. She does not listen at all. Jane is the worst instructor I have had in 75 credits at a 3.9 GPA. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE!!!!!!! TAKE IT AS A VISITING STUDENT AT UBC OR SFU.

Jane is knowledgeable, but her ability to teach is average. She is a bit scattered and often makes simple concepts more complex than necessary. I relied on the textbook to straighten me out. Testing is reasonable, though the recommended readings are frequently incorrect. Flank the recommended readings by 5 extra pages at the beginning and end.

Okay for the person that said that she is busy "for some reason"; Jane Hobson was the head of biology last semester so yes she was busy. I really liked her; she is super helpful. However the course IS boring but Jane does a good job of trying to make it a little less painful. She is super fair with her marking and tells you what to study before tes

She's disorganized, but gets through the material. The lectures are most to reinforce the materials learnt in the lab. I learnt more in the lab than attending class. She hands out weekly study question sheets. She's very clear as to what she will put on the midterm/final.

Great professor! She gets you really interested in the material. Very helpful, doesn't make you fell stupid if you ask a question, and best of all she gives out weekly study sheets that help a lot in studying for the final. Highly recommend her! I just wish that she taught 1210 :(

Jane is Awesome! She's super nice and always willing to lend a helping hand. her tests are very fair, always contain material learned throughout the semester with not too many suprises. She is very good at explaining what she expects for a good mark. if you follow her instructions and listen to what she says you will get a good mark!

She hands out power-point slides that she uses in class. Every class she just rush through the material n assume the class understands. 9/10 times the whole class would fall asleep as she's speaking a different language. basically u have to learn the material in the lab or read the text yourself. she's extremely unorganize and busy for some reasons

I agree she is not very organized and you cant really learn from her notes, and yes, you have to teach yourself a lot of stuff. So what?? this is like a university course, and in university, you have to teach yourself a lot too. Her quizes, midterm and final are all easy if you know the CONCEPTS, and have put in enough time into learning them.

she is an easy marker compare to Ann Marie. Very helpful and is always availible. Her quiz are a little on the hard side. Don't expect to get an A on the quizzes without studying. However, she is an easy marker, will always give u points here and there. She has one flaw, her notes are disorganized. but if u can follow it, then ur set.

Best Prof ever! She was so helpful to me and so motivating, made me chose to finish my degree in Bio, otherwise I wouldn't have been interested in going on. If you find her lectures a bit confusing, she is always available for extra help. She goes above necessary requirements, which is so helpful in upper level courses!

Good teacher OUT of class but bad IN class! She will always do her best to help you but her in class notes are boring and disorganized. Her tests are not that bad but you have to pace yourself and study ahead of time for them. Overall, u will do OK assuming u are not bored to death in class first.

Very good teacher. Expalins things well. Does not cover all material though so lab time is important. Very nice and will help when needed. Never gets upset and is always happy. she understands how hard student life can be. Nice to everyone. You should take her.

Is very disorganized. If you do all the objectives from the lab manual then you'll find the quizzes and tests really easy. Read the material before going to class and then she's really easy to understand. Very nice person, will go out of her way to help you. Awsome with part marks.
