Miss Jean made up for the Dr. Brown's impatience. Though, she was slow, she really helped majority of the class to understand some concepts Dr. brown's rushed through during the lab session. Awesome Professor, I will recommend for anyone..

Going through this class was hell for me. There was even a point where i didnt go for a coupe of weeks. She gives quizes that you get to do with a parter, STUDY. All her tests were take home tests. Her class is boring but if you do the work youll pass with an easy A.She is EXTREMELY boring though. You've been warned.

This instructor is knowledgeable but for a basic class went too in-depth, ran behind and then we had to pay for it... 11 chapter lap quiz,and we still didn't finish the course (by many chapters) late to class runs class over, dissections were rushed, only PP, few models were used. Extensive study & quizzes 105-120 questions... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

Took her for Express A&P 2401 and 2402 -- what a nightmare. She's slow and completely powerpoint-driven. This class is brutal at best due to the accelerated nature; she made it close to unbearable. She should not teach any express class. (Our last lab practical covered 3 chapters -- she'd only lectured on 1 of them.)

I have taken her for summer I. She is very boring. You will learn nothing from her. If you want a good education when it comes to any medical field careers, do not take her. I have to teach myself to be able to understand with alot of research. It is a waste of money. Take Chris Doumen or James Brown. Very good professors at Spring Creek that will definitely get you ready with whatever medical path you choose.

Though in fact she is an EASY A, she is very boring and put me to sleep more than once. Tests are take home and quizzes are copy pasted exactly from lab manual and with a partner so makes it very easy. She's 10 minutes late every class and tries to extend the class 10 minutes after and goes off about her medical ailments, other than that, did learn

Very unorganized and often late; however, requirements for quizzes and tests were clearly defined. Lectured with 2-D PowerPoint in a room full of 3-D models we never used. An on-campus class should be more interactive and engaging. Overall a disappointing experience.

Take home exams. Very dry. Love the lady though. Take home exams were rough, but if you take the time to read them you will get an A. I had the misfortune of having a really brutal lab professor so otherwise occupied.

Mrs Helgeson is a sweet lady! Extremly knowledgeable on everything medical ....I think.....very helpful in explaining any misunderstandings and goes lengths in giving personal examples. Her take home tests are not easy, but attending her classes every day will ensure an A. Questions tend to come from whatever is discussed in class. Take her!

I decided to take A&P express and did not know who my professor was going to be when I signed up. I was worried when I found out it was Helgeson from some of the previous comments but I had NO reason to worry at all. She is the BEST and I am so lucky to have had her. I made a "A" in her class and am working on another "A" in A&P 2 Express!!

Very helpful professor. Stayed late many times to help me with subject matter that I did not understand. Helgeson is alot better than most the A&P profs. at Collin. She has alot of experience and a funny dry sense of humor. I enjoyed her class.
