Dr. Michael is highly attentive and passionate. Her lectures contain a breadth of knowledge, while still maintaining depth and focus. She has a healthy sense of humor that never interferes with the topic. She frequently opened the floor for discussion, but skillfully steered it throughout. She's really into Wm. Blake, if that tells you anything.

She is a little bit tough on grading but she is very helpful whenever in or out of class. Going to her office whenever you have questions will help you. But do not recommend taking her early morning classes. You might fall asleep.

Very intelligent, but a little boring. Talk intelligently in class and she'll reward you. She really wants to get to know her students, but she could get a little too personal for me sometimes,Ex: asking about family, personal situations, ect. Wonderful woman, but would be better served just being a prof instead of a friend.

Romanticism can be defined as feeling without talent, and frankly I found most of it to be crap (esp. Wordsworth); though I loved Byron, Keats, and later Romantics. Per Michael, she teaches well, but you have to keep up with the material and talk in class to get anything out of the course. Also, nailing the final can really up your grade.
