Shes really great: fun, casual, but teaches you a lot. The content in this class can be really uncomfortable to be prepared for that. You also write many papers, but thats the point of an FYI: you get really good at writing papers. So Id say 8/10 would do again.

I love Jen and have taken 2 more of her courses. She is so chill and great to talk to. As long as you are paying attention, reading, and actually trying your best you will get a passing grade in this class.

Queer Horror was great, even though I hate horror. She's a brilliant professor who gives great feedback and is always willing to meet outside of class. She let me do art projects and creative writing instead of essays, and let me write a 20-pg final instead of 10. 5/5 would recommend! Sad she won't be my advisor anymore. :(

Jen is my favorite of all the professors I've had at Clark so far. The required book choice for her Crimes, Addicitons and Psychoses class is a dream but there's a LOT to read. She is really down to earth, very compassionate for her students, and has entirely changed the way I think about what I read. Take her classes, you won't regret it.

Jen Plante is THE BEST professor at Clark University. Her courses have interesting material, enjoyable assignments and engaging discussion. She has an open mind to creativity and genuinely cares about your perspective. She wants her students to do well. Attend her classes because participation matters.I can honestly say i was never bored.

Jen is an AMAZING prof. I have never like english but I always wanted to go to her class and actually try. Papers are on fun topics and she really wants you to do well. Is really helpful during and outside of class. Really looking forward to another class with her!

Great professor, a lot of fun, but makes you want to do well on papers. I don't think she's an overly difficult grader, but she definitely makes thoughtful comments and has a close eye for any errors you may make. Writing: The Beats was a great time, I wish I could take that class over again.

This was an awesome class. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plante brings it text that is fun and interesting. I always looked forward to going to her class. She is a tough grader, but she's always there to edit and help you out with your writing. I highly recommend this class for your VE requirement.

wow, and absolute pleasure!!! i loved every text we read and she really wanted you to develop your criticl thinkning and writing skills. This is THE class for your perspective. She made me want to major in english! i suggest pretty much anything by John Donne (old dead english poetry stuff is really quite incredible) you WILL learn in thisclas

Jen is an awesome teacher. She is fun and extremely helpful. I email her questions and she often emails me back within minutes. She expects a lot of her students and is challenging, but not too hard. I never start to fall asleep in her class, unlike my other morning classes. Definitely take her for Lit and Comp!

I have never met an English teacher I liked as much as I like Jen. I love literature, and I love to write, and Jen totally helped me embrace it, instead of making me feel embarassed to be excited about literature. Honestly, it is nearly impossible to not be enthusiastic around Jen, she has such a passion for what she does. She is fantastic.
