Comment:

This class was very easy. We were graded by very easy fill in the blank quizzes, a group project, and a final paper. Also, she has many opportunities for extra credit. She is very passionate about sustainability and I think this class was very inspiring.

Comment:

She is a great teacher and is very caring. She teaches well. I did not mind listening to her lectures for an hour and fifteen minutes. There's only 2 tests (midterm and final)! She has map quizzes every week but they are super easy.

Comment:

Very sweet Woman. She lectures a lot, but just reads straight from her powerpoint slides which she gives you. Dont skip too much she gives out worksheets randomly. Homework is very easy. tests are all multiple choice on the computer. Super easy A take this if you need it.

Comment:

Dr. Welch is the sweetest professor you'll ever have and cares about how her students do. Her class is easy and all of her quizzes are online and can be done in less than 15 minutes. Homework is just as easy. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. Says textbook is mandatory but didn't use it once. Don't need to pay attention in class.

Dr. Welch is a really wonderful woman. She is so so nice and understanding. I had migraines a couple times and she totally worked with me. The hardest part of this class is that there aren't many grades. The online quizzes are really easy they are just legend map quizzes, the homework takes less than 5 mins and for the tests you just need to review

Dr. Welch is a really nice lady. Her class is REALLY boring though. Take the 8am, you can sleep thru it. Powerpoints are long and impossible to keep up with, so again, take a nap in class and go over them when you need to study for the test. Didn't use the textbook once. Homework is easy. The class is an easy A, just make sure you study be4 tests.

I love Dr. Welch. She can be best described as a multi-lingual hilarious grandma. Her classes are not strenuously difficult, she is there for her students, and she knows what she is talking about. She is great and she just proves to me that one of the very few good things at WCU is the faculty.

This class is the easiest A you could ever get. All of quizzes are take home online. Usually one homework assignment per week. Midterm and Final are in class on D2L. Her lectures are really boring because she only reads the slides off the PowerPoint but it is a realllllly easy A so I would recommend it to people who don't really like Geography.

She is nice, but will not help you unless you ask for it. Last semester, she completely ignored a girl who was living out of the library for half of the semester. Everyone noticed except for Dr. Welch.

Very boring class. She's a sweet lady though. I missed class about 3-5 times and she didn't mind and it did not effect my grade AT ALL. EASY A to say the least. All tests are on D2L and all powerpoints are uploadedahead of time. You also make questions for the tests for a participation grade. Buy the quiz book, copy the questions, return for full $

I don't know if I've rated Dr. Welch before, but this is the third class I've had with her and I LOVE her! Take the extra credit opportunities- they are there to get you involved and plugged in on campus, and they are hands-on experiences you will remember. Her educational and career background is impressive- ask questions, listen, and learn.

Dr. Welch is such a sweet lady. Her class is simple; 3 tests, 10 in-class assignments, & 10 online map quizzes. The only bad thing I can say is that she reads off of her power point slides word for word the entire class and it's rough to sit through at 8am. Do not buy the online book. You need the Google book though; save $ & buy it with a friend.

Dr Welch is one of my favorite teachers. She might be a little wacky but she is really nice and her class is really easy! Don't buy the online textbook! I wasted my money on that. Just buy the Google maps book. Half of the points are based on map quizzes and the other half is in class tests that are done from your own computer. Lots of extra credit

Professor Welch is an awesome professor. This class will be a breeze for you if you like learning about other regions and cultures. She is very intelligent and one of the sweetest professors I have ever had. I would definitely recommend taking her, very easy class if you do your work. Come to class or you won't get credit for in-class assignments.

Dr. Welch is very passionate about travel and the environment. It just doesn't seem like she cares as much about geography, and the students actually learning about geography. Whole first test I knew from high school... Pretty easy class, just do the map quizzes and show up to class.

Her class is very boring, as she just reads off her slides. It could improved if she related the content to current events or work of famous geographers. She could also provide examples of what geographers do. It is hard to believe she has been teaching this same class for the last 20 years - just goes to show the low standards in the department.
