This may be one of the nicest men you will have the pleasure of meeting on campus; He has a great sense of humor. Don't mistake his kindness for an easy A. This guy's lectures are interesting, though can be complex. Read the chapters, but focus in more on his lectures and take notes, because his exams are about 90% of it.

He is so SWEET!!! I love this teacher. You must attend every class because he is old school and does believe in giving lectures. No homework just 3 exams so you have to study.Class was very interesting and he lets you out early :) I would love to take him again.

Professor Butler is by far my favorite! He's old school, and believes in teaching by actually LECTURING not just going line by line through the book like other professors do. He gives his tests mostly based on his class notes. He gives tons of examples to understand concepts. Show up, take notes, read, and you'll be fine! Great guy!

1st off if you are a Comm major this class is req so youll have to get over the reviews. All he does is lecture and you are responsible for taking notes. Only 3 exams and they come off the notes so pay attention! Not an easy A but I wound up with a B (after a large curve). Very nice guy tho! Overall just go to every class!

I dont usually say really bad things about professors but Professor Butler is horrible. This is prob the worst class Ive ever taken. It makes me want to change my minor in Communications. Sweet guy but teaching style is really bad. DO NOT TAKE HIM, you will learn absolutely NOTHING.

Such a sweet man, his tests are hard though, a little tricky. He's very helpful but I did do poorly on his tests even with studying a lot. I guess its different for different people but i found the tests difficult. Love him though hes so sweet and interesting!

He's a great professor that is more concerned with you knowing what he teaches via his notes than anything. I didn't get the book and did great in the class. He made a 7:30a class bearable because he was a sweet professor that cared about his students and their learning.

Great teacher and a great human being. He is a very happy go-lucky person, if anyone knows anything about his personal life, they will respect him more for his attitude. Classes are fun. His tests are exactly what he says they are.You must take good notes, but he doesn't really use he text book. I'd take him for every class if I could.

Dr. Butler is soo swweeet and nice! Please take every single note! Attendance is mandatory... You don't have to buy the book at all.But you better take notes... He is hilarious... Study notes realllllyyy well and you'll do fine...People who fail, don't go to class. I got 95's and above on every test. 3 test opt. final

Easy-going, laid-back professor. Helpful during office hours, but not great at responding to e-mail's. The subject is difficult because it's not fun...I mean, it's research. But, he's sweet and tries to make the material funny. Tests are hard, mostly because the subject is too. Low textbook usage.

Took this course the summer before graduation. Very interesting professor...does not bore you to death with mundane lecture. Tests can be somewhat tricky, and attendance is mandatory. Shows cool films in relation to communication and will make you laugh.
