Professor Orozco is the best professor I've ever had at Whittier College. His lectures are interesting and he's insanely knowledgeable. He doesn't take well to slackers. His grading criteria is straightforward. As long as you show up and have read the books and articles he assigned, you won't have any trouble passing with an A.

The class is mainly discussion based and also based on the readings so do them and make sure you have an opinion on them. ALWAYS go into his office hours before paper due dates for feedback. I wish I would have figured that out sooner so I could have recieved a higher grade in his class.

Loved his lectures. Certainly a difficult grader. I took a class he taught along with Professor Robert Marks, Who's a nut and they always throw curveballs on the 1 question quizzes. They give a useless studyguide for the quiz which have questions pertaining to the quizzes however rarely were the study guide questions on the quiz. Orozco's chillen

Orozco is a arrogant liberal, who thinks that because he has come from prestigous schools that gives him the right to belittle people who have different opinions than his biased Anti-American ones. Who would have thought that it was the Chinese who invented Pan Dulce and that School House Rock is ****?

Thanks to professor orozco, i now know that "yo quero Taco Bell!" was the Zapatista rallying cry born out of the campesino's hunger for justice and that that is what the PRI has taught us and that that is the unconditional truth! not really, but despite the fact that hes the most difficult grader that i have come across, hes also the best lecturor

I took this class last semester and he is by far one of the best professors at the college. His office door is always open to listen to your concerns and he is willing to go over your paper with you. His lectures were very interesting and I even thought of switching majors. Also, he is extremely smart and he knows his history. Slackers beware! This is not a teacher you want to take because he will not let you kick back.

Very "tell it how it is" and he'll crack you up everytime he swears and says that half of your class doesn't deserve to be in college. I hate history and he made me interested in his topics which is pretty hard to do. He is a pretty hard grader though and you cant miss class cauz he gives quizes all the time.

Basically, this man is your typical Whittier College professor (i.e Marxist, dogmatic, difficult, and if you want a good grade, be sure to agree with everything he says). If you like this kind of professor, his classes are for you.

Very much self focused. It is important to agree with him or keep your mouth shut. If apptempting to answer a question, you better be 100% sure of your answer and have the facts to support it. Mistakes are not accepted at all.

Just agree and everything will be fine. Assigns lots of reading to be disscussed and expects it. Wants real thoughts but not always open to them. You will gain/learn from classes though if you put in the effort. Gradeing is not always fair. E
