Dr. Eichberg is one of the most caring instructors I have ever had! This class is difficult, but there is much material to cover. You MUST attend his class and understand his slides!!! You do not need a book bc his slides and his lectures are very very thorough. Make sure you stay above the class avg (our class was mid60s) and you will benefit from a nice curve. He does not like to give people poor grades, but does want you to learn the material. His exams are MC and Essay. Great man!!!!!!

Lipids part of the course doesn't have a text so class is important. Carbohydrates there is a text so attending is not as necessary though it is recommended. Interesting material, detailed tests. Start studying early

He did upgrade to power point, but he annoyingly uses colored backgrounds that waste a lot of ink when printed. A lot of the slides are boring wall of text, but good to study on your own. The subject matter is interesting, but the last 30 minutes of class I'm always not paying any attention. Im not sure its his soft way of speaking or the slides.

Good prof..... class was hard, but I learned alot and it was pretty interesting....taught me to study more effectively. Most of the questions come from lecture, although his projections were hard to read (I think he is upgrading to powerpoint, but sp 2006 his slides were handwritten)
