Would not recommend. She spends the first half of class trying to figure out the computer. Lost our graded tests on the train and constantly forgot things. Always late to class, didn't show up on the first day. Lectures nonstop, tests are extremely difficult and over subjects she didn't cover.

The War Film in History class is very easy to pass. All we did was watch old school war movies and then she would comment on them for 45 min. Attendance is not taken and only a few assignments are asked of you. If you enjoy spending 3 hrs talking about old war movies then this class is perfect for you but if not then it can be a study period

SHE IS AMAZING! You won't learn much, but she is very entertaining. My favorite class was when the volume wasn't working and she narrated nazi propaganda. This class is a great study hall if you need to do any homework. You do learn some stuff if you pay attention. 10/10 take her!

I want to like her but the class is so boring. She takes forever to set up anything on the computer. Her lectures are random and not engaging at all.

Whitbeck is the most unprofessional professor I have ever had. On a regular basis, she would show up to class at least 30 minutes late, and it would take her another 30 minutes to just set up the projector. Her comments on papers were very rude and she would take a month to get our papers back to us. AVOID her at all costs if you want to learn.

Throughout my academic career, she has been the worst teacher I have ever came across. She gives excessive amounts of homework, believe me I am aware it is college, but hours on hours of work every single week is excessive. Oh and count on spending most of the class watching her try to figure out how to use the computer too. Awful teacher.

I bought the textbook but I never cracked it open. Not many tests but lots of papers. She is a really bad teacher. She doesn't answer your question directly. She doesn't know technology so it takes 5 minutes for her to actually accomplish something on the computer. She knows her stuff. Not worth spending the class time with her. TRY TO AVOID HER

She always goes off in tangents, gets irritated if you ask her questions, super hard to follow her class, assigns worthless assignments that never relates to her class, and definitely had an unfair grading system. I saw people with the same answers but one gets an A+ and the other a D. You can slack after the midterm because no final. AVOID!!!!

She's the worst professor I've ever had. She can be a sweet lady when she wants to be but she's stubborn. Specifically told me she "doesn't teach for notes", she also taught us subjects that were on our midterm the class after we took our midterm. I pay attention in class and studied 8 hours for her midterm and received a 70. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS

Whitbeck is the worst professor at Pace. She stammers through her lectures with no organization or clarity and is impossibly boring. I actually challenge anyone to pay attention to her and comprehend what she talks about, because she honestly seem senile at times. The only credit I can give her is that she is a somewhat pleasant individual. Avoid.

The worst teacher I have ever had and I find history interesting. She says um or uh every other word and rambles on aimlessly. Her lectures are boring and never relate to assignments and if you ask a question about she will make you feel stupid or embarrassed about it. She expects you to read a lot. Writing assignments are unclear and lengthy.

DO NOT take her classes. Please. She canceled five classes in a row shortly before finals. She lets class out early when she can't figure out the computer to show us things. She talks all class about random things and jumps from topic to topic. Pauses in the middle of her sentence for 3 minutes then switches topics. Sadly, too aged to teach.

She is horrible and is the worst professor in Pace. She stands around and gives lectures from the textbook and expects us to participate. Nobody does the readings and students usually are on their phones, laptops, or doing other assignments during her class. She is unclear with her assignments and gets irritated when students ask questions about it

She teaches right from the textbook! Purchase the textbook, read it, and go to tutoring if you really want the A, because you cant pay attention during class. She assigns extra credit from time to time, so the class isnt too hard to pass. Her tests are very straightforward, and shes not a harsh grader. I strongly recommend not taking this course

Very boring. Literally no one in this class pays attention expect for a few sitting in the front. Most of the time you will be lost if you do not pay attention but who can? Gives a ton of work by end of semester. Museum Project, 5-6 page Book analysis, a Newspaper article and an essay for final test. All of the work here counts towards final test.

She's very BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE stay away unless you're up for taking a nap. She's a very nice lady but she doesn't write notes, everything you need to know comes out of her mouth. She makes you do many readings out of packets and textbook for every single class.
