Comment:

This was a tough class; I won't lie. Lots of discussions, reading, quizzes, labs, and homework. The midterm and final are weighed very heavily. However, she is beyond fair on finals and tends to grade on a curve. She also gives opportunities for extra credit work. I had to reach out a few times, and I always was promptly answered.

I took this 8 week class online and It's busy. Everything required is on a schedule and syllabus. Be prepared to dedicate 6-10 hours a week to this class including the lab. Great teacher, responds quickly, and only wants her students to succeed.

Mrs. Tedder is no joke. You will earn the grade you get in this class. Each week a lab, quiz, and discussion board post will be due and no makeup work is allowed. If you follow the syllabus you won't have an issues.

She's very helpful and gets back to me right away. There is a bunch of reading the study guide really helps thats available in her contents of weekly assignments. I really enjoy her class and can say she's really a nice person by her e mails. I would highly recommend her!

Comment:

Took class online; Dr. Tedder grades really quickly and truly wants her students to do well. Quizzes and labs are done at home (labs are either virtual or done in your own kitchen) but midterm and final must be taken in testing center. Gives a few opportunities at extra credit which is helpful as the exams were difficult. Great class honestly.

Wonderful, supportive professor, very helpful in a bad situation with a new textbook that did not have good tech support. She was always available to help us and went above and beyond what most instructors do. I wish she taught other classes. NWACC is lucky to have her.

New Books, new software, new learning platforms, new everything. McGraw Hill rolled out a buggy product. Check Facebooks site Connect-McGraw-Hill and read other students complaints! Sandy was FABULOUS through it all! Extended deadlines, gave extra credit and worked in whatever way to make it easier for the class including study guides for tests!

Dr. Tedder is a must take for online biology. I just finished her course. She was very prompt to answer all questions. Always encouraging, very helpful when I had a problem. She was very organized and I never had any doubt of what was expected and never had to wait for grades. She should teach more classes.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. She is well-organized, knowledgeable, and a great communicator. I always knew where I stood on my grade and what the next assignment was. Just do the discussions & labs, take the open-book quizzes, and show up for a mid-term and the final and you'll get yourself an A. You could probably get by without a book.
