This online class was not bad at all. Dr. K was very responsive. She answered my emails within 12hrs and left extensive feedbacks for assignments. She gave enough time to read the material and do the work. No overload at all. A few discussion posts, a midterm and final paper, and research paper was due. If you do the work, she grades generously.

My class with this professor was online but you wouldn't have known she was instructing or teaching a class. Grades and feedback were not given until FAR after the due dates. By the time feedback was received, it was irrelevant to take corrective action for future assignments. I dreaded each assignment and took little away from the class.

Online course. Professor was practically nonexistent. Extremely slow at grading. She provided feedbackgrades for the first 3 discussion posts and then nothing the rest of semester. Grades for the remaining discussions, midterm, and research paper were not provided until 3 days before the end of the course.

Dr. Kunselman is an excellent teacher and mentor to her students. While I was a student at The University of West Florida I enrolled in all of her classes. She knows her subject matter very well and always employed the most fitting method for teaching each subject and encouraging discussion amongst students. Assignments were challenging but fair, a

NEVER take a class with her. She is rude and disrespectful to students, makes them feel dumb. Not very helpful, horrible/hard grader with assignments that are not properly defined. Definitely has her favorites. Obviously on a power trip and loves it

Arrogant professor on ego trip. Don't dare challenege her lecture objectives. She seems to think she is always correct. If you even try to open communication that is different from her perspective, you're screwed. I also think her attitude is know-it-all and just plain offensive. I never imagined college professor to be as immature as she is..

Comment:
Dr. Kunsleman intimidates students. If you ask a question or pose a challenge to her lectures, she literally becomes angry and her race turns red. Her topic and teaching aren't bad, but it is the way she communicates with students that is unpleasant and prevents asking questions or thinking that is outside of her beliefs.

I felt this course catered to favorites. Anytime a student disagrees with her perspective, she immediately dismisses the student. She comes across as helpful in the beginning, but her actions speak to the contrary. I know instructors know their stuff, but she is unwilling to listen to our perspectives as students unless it compliments her ideas.

This class was the worst class I've ever taken. In any class, the only thing I ask of my professor is that they are fair. Dr. K is notorious for assigning large assignments that are not listed in the syllabus, assigning huge presentations to be presented during mid-term and finals week, and agreeing that she grades her favorites differently.

This class sucks!!! She gives stupid assignments just because she does not want to do it herself. She shows favoritism, and she grades unfairly. I would not recommend this class. She rambles on about unrelated materaial, and I believe that she should not be allowed to teach.

She is tough, but has an interesting approach. I had her before for intro to ACJ, I made it out of there with a B, just be prepared for lots of discussion in her class.

I had Dr. Kunselman in Fall 2001. She taught CCJ2002: "What's Wrong with the Criminal Justice System". In order to do well in her class, always take a contraversial approach to the email questions, and agree with her views.
