Henderson was such an amazing professor. She really does care about films and makes sure to share her love for them with her students. We did have two major projects but they weren't incredibly difficult. I only skipped a few times because if you skip too often you'll miss the movies and have no idea what happened when you were gone.

I loved being taught by Prof Henderson. The class is manageable in regards to time, but the few projects and papers you have to do take some time. There are 2 exams that will be easy if you study and pay attention in class. Professor H was always kind, understanding, and supportive. Take this class if you need a credit or even just for fun

Prof Henderson is great! She is engaging with her students and you can really see that she is passionate about what she does. Her grading is simple and fair. The quizzes are easy as long as you look over the powerpoints. Overall 10/10 would recommend.

Karen Henderson is a phenomenal film teacher. She isn't just knowledgeable about films, she lives and breathes it. If you take an interest in what she's teaching about, then you will gain a lot from the class. Very passionate about the subject. There are two papers and a few research reports but the assignments are not stressful to manage.

I loved Ms. Henderson! She's funny and knows a lot about film, and loves what she's talking about. There are 2 big film projects and 3 small research reports that you have to do or you won't pass. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you skip class you'll miss parts of the movies. If you follow her guidelines and listen in class, you can pass.

She is a really nice teacher but you do need to go to class to know when the next assignment is due and to watch the movies. There are 2 movie reports due during the semester and you have to watch your movie or else you will fail it. She asks a question about your movie and its very specific, but easy if you watched it.

Tests are extremely easy if you make a Quizlet a week before you take them. Finished it in five minutes and made a 100. Quizzes might get you though. Pay attention during the movies If you take the class seriously, you won't have to work hard, but if you don't, you will end up working hard. I had the textbook, but only used the glossary to study.

The research assignments are fairly easy but watch out for the exams and quizzes that are heavily vocab and actor based. Each class tends to revolve around movie time then a powerpoint which is posted. She is very personal with each student and finds out your likes/dislikes for your personal projects so you feel comfortable

This class was really fun! Professor Henderson is wonderful. We sat in the library classroom and watched a movie or clips of movies on a huge screen. Beware of her deadlines and film questions. If you don't pay attention to her deadlines, you will not succeed. When she says you should watch the movie twice, she means it.

Ms. Henderson is very nice and so funny. I enjoyed her class a lot, even though it was a night class. The class is kind of homework heavy, there are two papers and three other small projects throughout the semester. Make sure to study for the quizzes and tests, she posts power points over them so it is your responsibility to pass them.

Takes attendance everyday with assigned seating. Goes over powerpoints for things she feels are important but don't relate in anyway to the class or movie. Definitely sees this class as her social time and is very passionate about the subject. However she has no background in film. Homework is simple if you do it on time.

Easy class. All you do is watch movies and listen to her opinions. In syllabus she says you can miss up to 4 classes, but she has a problem with you missing class at all and will call you out on missing. Chose the course because I needed a gen ed and I'm upset I chose this one because it's very boring

Ms. Henderson is the sweetest and most caring professor I've ever had. She's quirky, but makes the class very interesting. This was my favorite Gen Ed and it's an easy A. She gives two extra credit opportunities in the semester and all you have to do is pick a movie to watch and answer a simple question about it. WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE AGAIN!!!

Karen Henderson is the nicest lady on campus. Intro to Film was so much fun and American Independent Cinema was brilliant. She loves everything about what she does and it shows. Yes you have to show up to class (it's a film class, you gotta watch the films) so if you don't skip class it's the easiest A you'll ever get. If you can get into any of her classes do it!

May be my favorite class/professor at UTC! You learn so much about Film from her and you can appreciate how passionate she is about the subject. Make sure you write your two papers early on so if you need help, she'll be more than willing to give you tips. Three quizzes and two exams, all taken from Powerpoint slides.

Wonderful professor who loves movies. Probably the most fun class I have taken so far. Attendance is mandatory, but we're watching good movies so showing up to class wasn't a problem. There are a few papers and projects, but they're not hard with some effort. Easy A, and an actually enjoyable class.

This teacher was awful. The class was easy, but the teacher is impossible to get help from. She doesn't explain things specifically, she just gives you random things to know about. I would not suggest this class to anyone, only because of the teacher. I had hoped for a better experience with this class, but I ended up regretting taking it.
