After taking TCA 221 with Repetti, i was hesitant to take another accounting class. However Mayer is a phenomenal teacher that I Highly recommend. If you do well on two out of three quizzes, you do not have take the final. I was done with the class about a month prior with an A- and I'm not a math/numbers guy at all. Great teacher!!

Outstanding prof! This far, only other prof in this class (rating) is Braunlich. Dr. Mayer makes accounting comprehensible for those of us who lack experience in that field and don't aspire to such a position. Many people are experts in their field but it doesn't mean they know how to teach. This man can teach.

I love Dr. Mayer! He is hilarious he's always cracking jokes about his ex wives lol. But he really is a good teacher accounting/math are really tough for me and he made it about as easy as he can for the entire class. If you go to class you will pass.

Dr. Mayer is the best accounting professor I ever have. I am not accounting person. It is amazing!!! Dr. Mayer makes his lectures so easy to understand. I never know I can do so well on solving accounting problems, but Dr. Mayer makes it happen. I am so enjoy taking his class.

He is so nice and funny! I hate accounting it is a hard class but he tries his best to help all the students. Go to class and do the optional homeworks and you will pass. You also get to use a 1 page cheat sheet on the exams which helps.

Luckily, I had 2 classes (TCA 321 & TCA453) with professor Mayer. The ways he taught and are extremely hilarious and interesting. You never feel sleepy and boring in class unless you are a nonchalant type of people. He never gives you hard time both in the class and on exams. Preparing well for the cheat sheet makes you to get an A on exams.

One of my favorite professors so far at UNLV. He is really knowledgeable and explains things clearly. I was not looking forward to studying accounting but he made it interesting and actually fun. I will definitely remember a lot of the stuff he has taught and it's very practical for future career.

Love his class!His lecture is very interesting.He doesn't ask us to memory anything at all. When we had an exam we can use a double sided cheat sheet.You can put whatever you need on that paper. I missed my 1st exam, and he called me to ask me if I wanted to have a make up!Take him!You won't regret! Highly recommended

You can't get a better teacher flat out the best accounting teacher if you are lucky enough to get him. Yes you get a study aide because he is realistic and knows that you probably won't be an accountant so doesn't try to hammer equations into your head. And you will love his ex-wives stories!
