Kathy Lamkin is one of the nicest, most encouraging teachers I've ever had. She is very passionate about what she teaches, and has lots of stories to share. She's always willing to explain things & helps you out if you're having trouble. Just paying attention in class is better than the book info - I barely opened it during the whole semester.

I don't know what these bad reviews are talking about - Kathy Lamkin is one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. She is a difficult teacher but is very knowledgeable in the subject and is open to helping students during her office hours. If you put a ton of info on the test and do the listening you will get an A. Simple as that.

Worst GE i have ever taken. Do not take this class unless you are good at memorizing the whole entire book. Her test are horrible so unless you have a good ear for music, good luck. I had to spend more time studying in this class than in any of my Major classes. She is also very rude and does not make going to her class a pleasant experience.

Worst teacher i have ever had. She expects everyone to be a music major. Here tests are insane. I had to take the class pass/fail so it would not hurt my GPA. She is rude. She makes fun of you if you do not know the answer. And no matter how bad you have to go to the bathroom she will complain and embarass you in front of the class.

This class was quite confusing. It dosent work, all of the professors wanted to teach their own course. There is too much information for three hours one day a week. She needs to listen to the students and what they think, become more flexible.

It is a very hard class, in which you actually have to study for the exams. It also requires you to do the readings and listen to the music for the course. The professor is very nice though. She is a very good professor.
