I owe my college career to Mr. Guo! This was 3rd time taking this class - do or die. He helped me several hours a day, and finally let me barely pass. He's tough, but certainly fair. He demands a lot, but you learn a lot. I took this class twice with other profs, and failed both times. With his extra help, I passed. All in all, a good professor!

All tests are open notes/open book, and half of the tests are take-home which is nice, however he grades extremely hard. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding taking any of his classes at all cost! As far as work goes; you either do it his way, or he marks it completely wrong, regardless of whether you got the correct answer or not. Avoid at all costs!!

I believe that he will completely call you out in front of the class and call you stupid to your face. He cannot teach at all and he has a weird accent which gave me a headache every class time, especially when you spend 2 and half hours with him.

RUN!!! Do not take this guy! he doesnt speak clear english and when you ask questions he responds by asking you a question. you can use notes on the tests but the questions are NOTHING like what you go over in class. he clearly doesnt care if you are struggling. you do get to retake 1 test, thats the ONLY good thing. i would never take him again

he is really passionate about numbers, and math in general. If you want to learn the math, and you dont have a habit of asking stupid questions, than you have nothing to worry about with kevin. Oh, and his accent is cool.

If you are very good at math, sign up with this guy, otherwise DON"T. He goes too fast,specially in the summer, assumes that everyone knows the material and although his tests are 50/50 takehome and classroom, open book and notes, they are very hard and tricky. doesnt give enough time for tests and gives a ton load of homework. VERY UNHELPFUL.

If you're not good with math, DONT sign up for his class. I just finished 1111 & all he has is 10 tests, 5 take home and 5 in class with open notes. This may sound simple but its not. Alot of the questions on the tests are not in the homework. For the final, he lets you retake 3 of the tests of your choice. NO EXTRA CREDIT. I did get an A though ;)

Just not a good teacher. One thing I can say for him is that he allows notes on the tests; however, his tests are anything but easy. He has an accent that will grate on your nerves. If you aren't good in math don't take sign up for this teacher!

Oh my goodness, I have never disliked a teacher as much as I do him. DO NOT take his class. He;s impossible to undersatnd,gets mad when you ask questions, and his tests are crazy. The math tutors don't even like him and they can't figure his tests out. He takes off points for stupid things. It's impossible to pass his class.
