Amazing lady- she's very talented in French, and that shows through her teaching. She answers all questions clearly and recognizes that French isn't the easiest language to learn. Grading is very fair, midterms and final is multiple choice. I took her class over the summer and wish she was my university's prof! So much respect for her.

I've taken two french classes with her and they're enjoyable! There's a lot covered in a short amount of time, but she makes sure everyone knows what's going on. She'll push tests back if needed too. Super helpful and nice and makes class fun sometimes.

She was a pretty good instructor. I took French 1, 2, and 3 with her. She seemed to address any problems I had and always made sure to go back over something if anyone brought up a question in class. Sometimes she gave a little too much homework and wasn't always super clear about it.

Mme Nelson is seriously one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I LOVED her Elementary French 1 class so much that I just registered for her Elementary French 2 class next semester. If you're looking for the best foreign language professor, voila!

Maura Nelson was, by far, my favorite college professor. As an adult student, I thought she was extremely welcoming and willing to help me whenever I needed it. Maura is a phenomenal instructor. She is incredibly nice and helpful. Great availability and willingness to help. You do need to study&attendance is absolutely crucial. But she explains things very well. She uses the ICN so you get to see what she's writing. Lots of in-class pronunciation. Lots of classroom activities and reviewing before tests.

Good teacher overall, very helpful if you contact her after class. Only 2 things I would warn you about: *She will talk the entire class period, so if you have questions don't wait until the last minute to ask them. *The first 1/2 of semester the moves deceptively slow, but pace picks up rapidly in the last 4 works. Be prepared.
