You'll need to attend for a grade and to make sure you're learning the moves. He's knows what he's doing and he cares that you don't just know the techniques, but also how to adapt and apply them to different real-life situations. He's pretty lenient but you still need to participate. There are a few video tests but you'll be prepared. Cool guy.

Amazing teacher, absolutely hilarious. Actually cares about his students and will help them all learn everything. If you participate and try, he'll make sure you pass. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Take the class you will not regret it at all!!

Great teacher. Goes on random tangents, but teaches you what exactly you need to know to pass the test. Really energetic. Funny. Also gives extra credit if you participate in his examples and moves. Overall easy grade and if you want to pass just listen listen and participate.

Stutler was a very good "coach." The class is an easy A and you learn valuable life skills. By the end of the semester, I through a guy twice my size and weight over my hip and onto the ground!

Very enthusiastic in what he's teaching, but he goes off of extremely long tangents that make class unbearable in parts. He teaches moves one week, then he'll say "Dont use these ever though, they won't work". you'll spend 90 minutes listening to him talk about his life and 20 minutes actually working. He messes up attendance constantly too.

Mr. Stutler is absolutely hilarious and extremely passionate about what he does. He wants everyone to feel safe in his room and he works hard to make sure every student is happy in his class. Super easy, attend class and make an attempt and you will pass. I had a blast spending the semester with him.

Best professor ever. very easy to deal with. all you have to do is participate. he gives optional days off for participating. If you want to really get involved be in the middle of the class, or just stay after for a quick lesson. Theres no need to by the book he does a great job explaining things. He's also down to earth, he likes making jokes.

Not many professors like Mr. Stutler are professionals in their field. He keeps you engaged, keeps you entertained, and keeps it real. He's a gentleman with a gift for teaching, and should be afforded all the opportunities to do so in the future. I highly recommend taking a class with him.

He is hilarious and a GREAT professor. The class is super super easy, but he is sometimes hard to deal with. He goes off on long tangents in class and try to make jokes that aren't funny and semi over the line. (Not that I was offended) If you want an easy gym credit this is the class for you. Just bare with him.

Mr. Stutler is by far my favorite teacher. What he teaches is extremely practical and useful. Many of his students have been attacked after they took his class and were able to defend themselves. If you want to learn extra, stay after class and he'll teach you (plus you get make-up days by doing that!) He's very easy going. Don't buy the book.

ABSOLUTELY 1394085083% LOVED HIS CLASS. Mr. Stutler is everything a teacher should be. INSPIRING. His stories are hilarious. I can't even fit into 350 characters why I loved his class. Would recommend him in a heart beat. TAKE HIS CLASS YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT.

Great class taught by a great man. He didn't run us through boring practice session, he told us many interesting stories and kept things light and fun with just a hint of seriousness as to why we learn to defend ourselves. I'd take it again just to hang out with the guy, its an easy class as long as you go to listen and follow directions
