I took his class this semester. He is very good instructor. What made me feel bad about was some people in my class were being incredibly lazy. Well, that way you have more possibility getting an A :-)(I did! YAY)

I took his Thermo class - I did receive an A. The lectures were strictly from power point and were NOT engaging. Many students were bored to death and attendance slowly diminished throughout the semester. This is a self-learning class - read the book and do the optional hw if you want to pass.

Good guy, but relies too much on powerpoint, which he crams with too much information and reads from at top speed. Homework, quizzes, midterms and finals are much harder than what he prepares us for.

Surprisingly, he was great. His class is very structured, so you know what is going on every day and it helps if you miss class. weekly quizzes which helps force you to learn the material and everything is curved. group work was surprisingly helpful. don't buy the book, just copy the steam tables, he gives you all the info you need.

Very disappointing! His teaching was horribleâ€"just flipping his slides (powerpoint) and read them to students, never care whether anybody would understand. He was not prepared for the class, could not explain things very well, could answer students' question, and just tried to get away. He probably doesn't know what he was teaching.

Comment:

Lectures almost exclusively from Powerpoint. Many typos in notes and HW solutions. HW is extra credit. Weekly quiz, but usually easy if the previous week's notes are studied well. Loves helping students. I'd take a class with him again.
