Great professor, take him you won't regret it. Study hard for mid term and final and you should pass with no problem. 3 quiz worth 10 points each, 1 written essay from museum visit then midterm & final. Book are not required but good to have for more detailed information not on class lecture or power point..

Dr. Guillow was a great lecturer and made every class very interesting..His class was fairly easy (all written essay form 4 quizzes(all in your class notes if you pay attention, he even tells you what they are)in reality 3 quizzes..1 midterm (remember, he's looking for specific, quantity, not quality. 1 essay paper and Final..

Mr. Guillow's very nice, and he's a great lecturer, but that's where the compliments end. I got an A on the museum paper, and on all of the quizzes, but I finished with a C in the class. Received C's on both midterm and final essays, and I can't tell you why. He gives 100% to inattentive students, and probably plays favorites, secretly. So, beware.

Really good professor. He is chill and has interesting stories for everything in his lectures. I recommend NOT buying his required book, never used it once. Has 3 or 4 pop quizzes that he tells you whats on it the lesson before. Only reason I got a C is because I didn't take the class seriously till the end. STUDY FOR EXAMS!! WORTH 70% OF GRADE!!

His class is easy. Although attendance is not mandatory, it's recommended that you go everyday because he gives 4 pop quizes and it helps you prepare for the midterm and final. i do believe he is biased to people who leave early. When he grades essays he wants more quantity than quality. Share the book with someone because you only use it for test.

Professor Guillow is an amazing teacher. He knows what he is lecturing and isn't boring whatsoever. There is no homework or need for attendance -even if he is abscent. The midterm and final are both essays and are fairly easy. He sets aside days before the tests for discussion groups on the essay prompts. Overall, i highly recommend this class and

If you show up to class and remotely pay any attention to his lectures then you should at least get a B i think a B was like a 65% but if you want an A you need to be in the top 10% of the class. If you fail/ed this class then you put no effort in the class and probably showed up once a week.

This professor is pretty easy, no homework, he doesn't take attendance, and he is pretty chill. He told us where to download his notes from his power points, so you don't even have to take notes if you don't want to. The only tests you really have to worry about are the midterm and final. Study for those, and you will easily pass.

THIS WAS THE BEST PROFESSOR. HE IS EASY AND LAID-BACK! I DISAGREE WITH THE BAD COMMENTS. IF YOU COMMITTED TO THE LECTURES/NOTES, THEN YOU WERE ABLE TO SUCCEED. BESIDES, MR. I am surprised about some of the ratings here Dr. Guillow is a great teacher, very smart! His lectures are interesting & informative. If you study as you should you will pass. Even if his tests are in an essay format believe me not difficult at all if you pay attention. History wasn't my fav. subject until I took his class. I highly recommend him!
