She is an awesome professor, SO understanding, and very laid back. The class is easy. There is one midterm, a few easy quizzes, and two papers. The final exam is the last paper. I really love Dr. Kiser; she is passionate and knowledgable about what she teaches.

Dr. Kiser is great. She understands college students and our humor. The class is easy if you do the work. It is typically readings and weekly responses each week with an in class midterm and and a large essay for a final. Dr. Kiser will ask questions that will make you think. I am not interested in English whatsoever but I enjoyed the class!

Lecutes a lot, all notes are verbal. Must attend class if you want the information she is putting out. Midterm and final include passage identification and a short essay. Easy grader as long as work is completed with effort. Funny, laid back, enjoyable

Very knowledgeable and kind lady. Lots of reading (it is a literature class) but very little work. Only work was in-class essay for midterm, take-home essay, take-home final, one homework per week (3-5 questions you have about text, she answers them), and one class session you help lead. Attendance not mandatory but definitely necessary.

Her lectures are great, especially because she is able to speak old and middle english which is like the coolest thing ever to hear. Funny too because she always noted sexual symbolism in like, everything, but always preceded it with "I don't want to go too much into this, but..." and did anyway. Very nice and fair.

Kiser is a great teacher! She is very fair and if you attend class her exams are fine. You dont really need to read, as long as you go to class and take good notes. She is very helpful if you go and see her. She explains the texts very well.

Prof. Kiser is one of the best I've ever had. She knows everything about the middle ages and made the class a million times more interesting than I thought it would be. She's very kind and easy to talk to. As long as you go to class, do the readings, and use some of her interpretations in papers, you'll be fine.

Dr. Kiser is really cool. Her teaching style is very clear, but I think she fell a little flat when she tried to lead discussions. Not everyone got to be involved.

Though I was already interested in her course before I took it, her discussions made the class even more so. She's a very fair grader and as long as you read the material, her quizzes are a breeze. Her finals integrate the material but the themes and quotes are ones discussed in class, so be sure to go and you'll get an A.

She's a very nice lady and I like talking to her out of class, but I had the misfortune of disagreeing with her in my analysis of Chaucer and even though I backed it up with lots of citations from the text, she wouldn't concede that my view was valid too.
