Took Schaffner for 4-5 classes over the course of 3 years. I ended up working in research biology. If you like biology, you'll love her classes, but she's definitely not easy. If you don't like biology, she'll seem unfair, maybe even harsh, but that's because of how much she cares for the material.

Wonderful professor. She is great at teaching, and more than willing to help clarify so that you as the student will understand the topic. That being said, her tests expect you to know the material cold. If you do poorly, it's because you didn't study enough.
