Comment:

Professor was no good. All she did was lecture didn't ask if we needed help at all. Lots of homework. Quizzes everyday!!!! We only took 3 Test out of the semester so you have to do good. You either know it or you don't. Sometimes we got out early. Would not take her again.

Comment:

The only plus side to this class is that you normally get out an hour or hour and a half early. Lectures are rushed you don't follow the book you use formulas that she creates and the difficulty of the tests heavily out-ways what you are actually taught in class. If you already know what you're doing its fine, but super hard if you struggle w/ math

Comment:

I learned more by reading the book and attended her lectures as supplement. She was constantly wrong, class had to correct her or point out mistakes. She also pronounces aSYMPtote as asthma-tote, mildly annoying. Her tests are not hard and quizzes are done in groups. She always sounds angry and is a little disorganized but she's quite nice.

Comment:

Pretty cool teacher. The quizzes sucked but only when I didn't study. She talks really fast. You can tell she's really passionate about math. She really wants you to learn so she will not negotiate your grade. She teaches you assuming you've followed along in the book so be a serious college student and you'll get an A+.

Comment:

I am a visual learner so that was helpful but she wasnt clear on explaining her concepts well. You have a quiz almost ever week (peer/open note help) and her exams are fair. Her teaching is very repetitive and boring so her technique is doing problem/examples, one after the next. Be prepared to do a little self-teaching and a load of homework!

I'm personally not a fan of her teaching style. She simply does problems on the board. No explanations, and rarely asks for student input. I personally went online and found lectures for each concept, watched, and then used her examples in class as supplementary material. But hey, she drops a ton of the grades (tests and quizzes), so not all bad.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! Just because she can do math problems does NOT mean she can teach them. Not good if you are a student weak in Math. Very hard to understand, talks a million miles per second to the chalk board and then expects you to know it!

The class consists of her doing example after example on the board. She doesn't clarify things and when you ask her to explain something or to do an additional problem she says "just look at the multiple choice and figure the answer out from the choices". She wants you to pass, but doesn't care if you learn anything. Very difficult!

Awesome teacher who gave out candy after finals. Drops lowest scores on almost every test. straight forward and to the point. not distracting. teaches to teach. not arrogant or rude. considerate and thoughtful. inspiring and committed.

Does not explain her lessons very well, she always says stuff like, "what you see is what you get; it is what it is; doesn't matter if it's negative, I don't care, etc." People end up relying on the math lab or Internet tutorials just because she doesn't explain her cheat sheet notes. She doesn't even explain half the formulas involved in the class and the only one that she does teach is the quadratic formula. She is not a great teacher at all.

Didnt seem like she was very good at teaching math and was easily lost without her cheat sheet paper. I usually found myself spacing out or day dreaming due to how boring the class was and how she taught it. I do not recommend this teacher

She is very easy to understand. She has office hours in math lab before class and I had her go over my homework questions there. She is patient and very helpful. If you follow her lecture notes you can do well.

WORST!!!! EVER!!!!! All she does is write example problems on the board and solve them herself without explaining much. Full of tricky questions on exams and each exam worth only 30-40pts with each question worth 1-2pts so if you miss 2 or 3 questions, you lose 10% of your grade. Never had this much hardship on math! Very cold person. Never smiles.

Towards the end I was completely dependant on the Math Lab to explain the material. Doesn't get the class involved or interested. She jots down the notes and problems waits a few seconds and begins doing the problems quickly, stops and says, "So thats how you do that." Then proceeds to complete the next problem. Never smiled, not once. Not natural.

Terrible mistake, she is awful. Took the class because it fit well in my schedule, but she was terrible. I recommend Zandy, or Klassen, they are both excellent teachers.

I had this professor for 2 weeks, end up dropping the course because this teacher just doesnt know how to teach. Retake the course with Frank Ferencz and did great.
