Good Proffessor that knows what she's talking about. We had to do 3 in class essays and the midterm was a take-home test. That made no sense. No final essay though, which was nice. Just do the work and pay attention and you should get an A. Oh, and DO NOT SPEAK WHILE SHE IS SPEAKING. Be respectful!

This class is very easy! tests and quizzes every week, but tests are open book! There is a lot of notes but you can use them at the end on the Final Exam! only 2 projects and a couple papers! Easy A!

Took her for freshman comp 1 as well. The class is basically the same thing. One journal, two in class essays, a midterm essay (almost identical to the in-class ones), and a final research paper. She gives you all the steps you need to get an A in the class, and is very clear.

It has some work, not hard though. All you do is write three in-class essays. She likes her essay typical structure, so you don't need big words. Final and Midterm almost identical. And you will turn in a journal she doesn't even read completely, so no need for perfect grammar.

Overall she was a pretty good teacher. We were allowed to use our textbooks on the tests and for the final she allowed us this grid of notes. Tons of projects, though. Be prepared to do many powerpoints and working with other people.

ms gouge was absolutely the most boringest teacher ever! all she does is use us as an audience to get people to read her books! although she is very easy, its hard to get an A because she NEVERRR gives them out! no matter how hard you try! overall take this teacher, only if you wanna fall asleep in class and still pass! professor gouge was always very nice to me and i was one of her "pets", but she brought up christianity and her religion many times throughout the class which is inappropriate for a public college. she also mentioned her romance novels too much and took my address from a class roster to send me promo material for her books. also not too smart.

At the beginnin i thought she would be a nice lady. I never missed a class and always did all her stupid hws, but none of that was worth it, because at the end she was not helpful at all and even doin extra credits doesnt help.

I've found rocks that were more interesting than this broad. She is SO boring! She thinks she's teaching a high school class and she is very boring. It's amazing how she can make time stand still and she won't allow any absences or tardies so God forbid you have an emergency. Did I mention she's boring?

So big deal if you have write an 8 page paper! You do the little steps that she gives you and your done! I do admit there is a lot of reading and Homework but it's easy stuff. The other papers you have to write in class , she gives you the topic the day ahead,do a detailed draft"hint" , You can use your notes!! Oh yeah And read Lovely Bones!

I must be one of the few people who thought she was pretty nice. She had everything laid out in the syllabus that was expected. She also told you the format that she expected on all the writing assignments, and as long as you followed it you got an "A" every time. I guess that is a little much for most community college students to handle.
