Comment:

Test are made up of conceptual trick questions. So even if you study very hard from the book, understand the material, you can still encounter a tricky conceptual question on the exam and easily get it wrong. He doesn't practice these conceptual problems, he just springs them on you during exam. Oh, and you can only get 2 wrong to get an A exam.

Someone he has awards and rooms named after him but I am a senior at UM-Flint and he is by far the worst teacher I have had at umflint. He doesn't teach well, he is frankly a jerk. I'm truly being honest. Super annoying. He doesn't deserve any awards and you should strongly try to schedule another teacher for Phy 143.

This is a worst class I ever took. I do not know why university needs a professor for this class. Anyone knows how to run a DVD player can teach the course. This course is basically showing promotional videos of different engineering departments of UM-Ann Arbor. He makes this course as a 2+2 requirement for his own benefit. You learn nothing.

Dr. Vaziri loves physics but hates everything else. If you are not a physics major, do not take class with him. He tends to over explain things to a point that students are very confused. If you have to take physics, take it at Mott and transfer it. He hates international and minority students. Never take any class with him

This is a useless class and not worth spending money. I am not sure why and how he teaches an engineering class with a physics background. He try to pretend as an engineer but he has no clue. Do not take EGR 110 as this class does not count to UM-Flint engineering degree or Ann Arbor (I found it later). This class should be taught by engineers.

His class is very difficult and expects too much for a 100 level class. It may be better to take another science class with another professor. He hates international students specially if you are from middle east or asia. He will give you bad advise to change your major to Physics. Do not listen to him.

Dr. Vaziri pretends to be knowledgeable, however, he does lot of mistakes in his class and confuses the student. He rarely solves problem in class and when he does, he never completes them. If possible avoid him. He always tells student how important physics is although students do not care. He is a terrible advisor and gives wrong advise.

Do not take class with this professor. It is better to take the Physics class at Mott and transfer it to UM-Flint. The materials I learned in the class is useless. As a meter of fact, I learned nothing

Comment:

One of my favorite teachers at UM-Flint. He cares about all the students and wants what is best for them. This particular class was really easy, but I know he teaches physics and other subjects, so I'm not sure how difficult he is in those classes. He tries to make sure everybody has all the opportunities that they can get.

Dr. Vaziri is an intelligent man who seems to enjoy physics. He is a horrible teacher and lectures are conceptual. He rarely does examples and when he does they are usually wrong. Cannot convey information in a manner that is useful. I am a 4.0 student and will barely pass this class. I ask for help and get wrong answers on HW many times.

Dr. Vaziri is a very nice person, but not a good instructor. His lectures are confusing and mostly conceptual. He rarely works out example problems. When he does, he does not complete them. If you decide to work it out to completion you discover it is WRONG! Avoid Vaziri for physics if you can.

Dr. Vaziri is the single best teacher I have ever had. He is a brilliant man with a SERIOUS interest in Physics, and more importantly he has a serious interest in making sure the students know physics. You can tell that he wants to teach the WORLD physics, because it would make it a better place. This man is 125% about the student. Take him!

Vaziri was very enthusiastic about the subject matter. The tests are hard, especially because they are only 20-25 questions. If you go to class every day, turn in all of the workbook and lab assignments, read before class and do the MP homework online then you should be fine.

I love Dr. Vaziri! He is very enthusiastic about physics, and he bases mostly everything from the textbook, so you can always rely on the book to get you through the class. He is always willing to help you with any concept, no matter how simple it is. If you show him you are putting in your best effort, he will give you credit and a fair grade.
