If you are not excited about finance then this class may be a little tough for you. However, I loved his class so much I changed majors to finance. He uses a lot of real-world examples. His exams are straight from the questions assigned. If you know the practice questions inside and out you will kill all the exams.

He is a friendly guy, and he does want the students to learn. The International Finance material is difficult, but that's not his fault. I didn't mind the accent as well.

Comment:

Difficult material but he doesn't expect more from you than what he has covered in class and assigned from the book. Much of the comprehending must be done outside of class since what is covered in lecture passes quickly, but he is a great guy and cracks some interesting finance jokes.

Too much material in far too short of a timeframe, so it's not all professor rahmen's fault how difficult of a class this ended up being, but it was an extremely difficult class to wrap your mind around if you haven't taken finance class before. professor rahmen is a good professor though. good person and very willing to help

Comment:

VERY difficult class if you are new to International Finance. The calculations are complex, difficult to understand, and Rahman's accent makes things even harder. I would not have passed without private tutoring. Twice a week for the entire semester I saw my tutor and he explained (in detail) everything Rahman wanted us to know.

Probably one of the worst teachers in the SBA. Great personality, funny in class - but tests on material he barely went over. The exams are impossible and the accent of his is hard to cope with. His omlette of opinions on various worldly matters is also completely unnecessary.

TERRIBLE CLASS! DON'T TAKE HIM. Test are hard and the teacher doesn't speak english. I had to teach myself the material. Doesn't offer help. Tests had nothing to do with material in class. Material that he teaches is different from material taught in class. Take Deshpande instead and enjoy your semester.
