I really don't understand why some students don't like Burke's class. I thought it was great, that the teacher was respectful, that the subject was explained well and made perfect sense. I found the mini book about the rule against perpetuities to be very helpful in particular. Good class!

Avoid her. If you get her for first year property then I am sorry. She is uninterested in the subject and teaching in general. She hasn't updated her powerpoints in years. Class was so boring I learned to sleep with my eyes open. She doesn't even know the material. She would not allow hypothetical questions because she couldn't answer them.

Burke should be avoided. In my lecture class, she was dull and uninspired. Reading was heavy, boring, and useless. She often refused to answer questions or gave useless answers and glared at the students who asked. The exam was not what was taught. Most people didn't finish- we probably needed 2 more hours. Prepare to teach yourself and pray

Wonderful professor for a seminar. Really cares about your learning through the process. She demands a lot but is willing to give you just as much.
