Comment:

This woman is very good. She helps you with everything and tries to the best of her ability to help you with your speeches. Dr. B understands if you can not give a speech at a certain time and makes arrangments for that, but she is no fool. She is very patient and sweet. I love having her as a teacher. Her shirt does come up sometimes also haha!!

Good teacher BUT the workload was HIDIOUS! we had papers due BACK-TO-BACK. She gives outlines on exactly how she wants each paragraph but I literally CRIED because I was sooo OVERWHELMED by her assignments! And if I hear her say the terms "MLA" or "Research Paper" again Ill barf. If you are going to have her, MAKE SURE you dont have ANY other class

Very nice and very funny. Great class to take wether you are scared comfrtable speaking in public. Gives 5-6 speeches but they are easy. grades very fairly and on a points scale. Gives option or speech or written test for midterm, final is multiple choice. Easy, fun class.

Dr. Broughton was one of the best teachers I've had. She was funny, smart, and very helpful in class. As long as you do what she wants on the assignments, you should do good in the class.

Dr.B jokes alot during class. But she isn't always clear on what she wants on all the assignments, which makes acually doing them difficult, She's a nice teacher, and her class is not hard. Some assignments seemed random, but, they were not usually difficult. At the end of the day, not a bad teacher

Dr B is very clear in what she wants. She gives outlines. However; not recommended if you want to have a life. Papers are due every week. Sometimes two per week. Textbook usage is high during the first few weeks of class. After the third week you are constantly writing papers research style. All tpogether there was 14 papers this semester. g'luck.

Dr B had good stories, but the workload was nightmarish! Do not take this class if you plan to take ANY other classes! There is a paper every week, and all of them have to be written like a research paper. She will help if asked, but her "help" doesn't always make sense. Had to drop the class or risk failing it AND my other classes.

Dr. B is one of the best teachers I've had at IRSC. Not much textbook use except for final. to get an A is simple. Follow and match her example outline, follow her instructions, and just simply respect her for the respect she deserves. She has alot of speech experience to judge-and she grades very leniently. Lots extra credit, makn it hard to fail.

Dr. B is amazzing. I had her for ENC11O1 and now im taking her for ENC1102 and Speech in the same day. She is very straigt forward in what she expects in her essays and she gives crystal clear study guides for exams. Only 2 exams per semester. And the notebook work is easy. She will also help you in anyway she can with anything.

Dr. B is great. I wish she taught more classes. Shes very fun and out going but knows how to be serious. Grades are cake as long as you do the assignments ans shes very helpful with speeches. I gave 4 this semester and she made each one fun to give.SHES AWESOME! take her for english I,II, and speech!

I had Dr. B for speech, and I thought it was a GREAT class. She is an amazing person, very down to Earth and animated. She doesn't give a lot of work but she expects the work you turn in to be very particular. I think she's a little OCD but if you follow instructions, there should be no reason for you to get a bad grade.
