Comment:

The only two things he graded all semester was the midterm and the final, and whichever grade is higher, is your grade for the semester. He assigns homework but doesn't grade it. He takes attendance but does not give credit for it. Very little motivation to attend class because of this. Very very nice man, & can be pretty funny; not the best prof.

Mr. Goldstein is a great teacher. He is very knowledgeable in his area of teaching and as written, will go above and beyond to help students. He is a very dedicated, great professor of mathematics.

He seems like he knows what he's talking about, but sometimes has trouble conveying his ideas in class. Also, he grades on attendance, but he makes it really hard to feel like class is worth attending since you'll be going over homework and rarely explore any new content in-class.

Prof. Goldstein is a tough teacher--he expects a lot--but very rewarding to work with. He's SUPER helpful in office hours and will really go out of his way to help you if you're sincere in wanting help. He really cares about his students and even though he teaches at a very high level, his classes are really worth taking. I recommend them 100%!

Mr. Goldstein is a good professor, but is one of those individuals that knows so much that sometimes he gets carried away. If you ask for help though, he's very helpful and understanding.
