I strongly believe those that enjoy Marty's class are those that pass. He is not friendly, arbitrarily fails students and has the highest fail rate in the history of Touro. Would avoid this teacher at all costs. 20% failed evidence and 27% failed con law.

Comment:

Best class/professor I've had yet at Touro. Because the class is an elective, it's generally relaxed (he hardly calls on anyone). He lectures every class, and all you have to do is take notes (and memorize his, or the Court's, words). I suggest that you leave a lot of time to memorize/study for the final, because he covers a ton of material.

Love this professor. He's demanding but fair and knows his stuff cold. Always points out real life lawyering tips that one would use if one were litigating the particular constitutional issue. I got an A. It was a lot of work, but I know my stuff because of Marty

He is extremely intimidating. If you are not prepared for his class, he will mark you down. I was so scared for this class that I prayed to God that I just pass. You HAVE to study his words. His test will cover almost everything that he taught, and you have to use his words. It was tough but in the end, I have to say I truly enjoyed his class.

He is a talented legal mind, who has the ability to make complex legal issues and cases seem entirely workable. He has a thirst for knowledge and quite clearly loves what he does. With respect to grading, you get what you put in. Well worth the hard work, because in the end you really understand and retain what was taught. One of Touro's best!!

Very hard. Do not get caught unprepared..he will 1/3 you down, then he fails you. Very boring class. Straight forward exam but hard grader. Lots of material covered.

He is the best teacher I have had at Touro. Yes, he is very hard, but only because he presents so much material and he expects you to learn it. There are no surprises. I loved his Constitutional Law courses. If you work hard, you can get a good grade.

Schwartz is a decent teacher, but an unfair grader. I did not do well in his class despite having perfect attendance, never falling behind on my work, taking good notes and studying my butt off for his final. If you're stuck with him for a required course, just do the best you can. I definitely won't be taking him for an elective class.

Hard professor. He's fair and warns ou of all the requirements so there are no suprises.Brilliant teacher and will teach you all about evidence that you need to know. If you have Schwarz and a will to learn then a good portion of the bar exam is yours.
