Comment:
Prof Ganote really cares about his students and teaches what will be needed to produce professional computer products. He stresses it is the attention to details and ability to use them that mark a professional. CPS is a useless course for professionalism. If you just want a credit take CPS 11. If you wnat to learn to be a rofessional take Ganote.

Comment:
This professor is ridiculous. He does one assignment during class in 20 steps, will only go back if you speak up, and acts clueless when you have a question he can't answer. Take CPS 111 as an alternative. Ganote should be retired. You can hardly hear what he is saying. He shows you what to do, but doesn't say it outloud.

He is very old fashioned and makes this computer class WAY harder than it needs to be. It is the most stressful class I have ever had...a computer class shouldn't be this way. CPS 111 is an alternative and I would take that and avoid Ganote. He is impossible.

People are way to hard on Ganote. He goes fast in class and if you don't care you'll do poorly. He actually really cares if you do well and will sit with you for hours until you understand. If you put forth the effort you'll do well.

Comment:
He goes way too fast when teaching. He will only stop to explain more in detail if you ask him to. Grades fairly easier than before. Wants his students to do well so if you ask for help, he'll out that into consideration when grading. You learn a lot in this class. It is not as bad as everyone says.

Ganote is a great guy but not the greatest teacher. He is extremely picky but you have to learn to deal with it. I think that he really wants his students to learn how to be professional and to do well in his class. Yes it is a hard class but if you act like you care he will try his best to help you. If you are unsure of something just ask him!
