Comment:

One reason I decided to go into nursing was because I wanted to continue exploring the world with a useful skill set. As a result, I expected 342 to be one of the classes during my degree that would define my practice, both at home and away. Sadly, Mary disappointed my hopes of this with her lack of relevance and clear disinterest in our learning

Worst teacher ever. I don't understand how she has managed to maintain her position at the university. Not kind, knowledgable, approachable, helpful, or any other positive adjective. Do NOT recommend.

seems to have a hidden agenda. unclear and confusing answers, rude toward students - will cut people off, shake head, roll eyes. did not seem qualified to teach this course, had little enthusiasm or personal insight to the material. missed about a third of our classes and was not accountable. avoid if at all possible!

This professor is very condescending towards students. She rolls her eyes at you when you ask a question and demand you to get off your phone. She was 10 minutes late to our final exam with un edited exams. She taught a lecture class once. She is completely useless.. do NOT take class from this teacher.

This teacher is terrible. I had awesome feedback from all of the nurses on the unit, including my preceptor, yet she seems to think that I have MAJOR work to do and that I am at risk for failing future clinical experiences. Mary seems to think she knows what a good nurse is, even though she hasn't practiced in FOREVER.

I am not permitted to say what I think at this site. She tries so hard to be this scholarly academic intellect when she is not! She can be nice if she likes you... she reads into situations to the point that she sees things that are not really there.

Mary Lougheed seems like a lovely person and I know that she has a good heart. However, as someone else pointed out, her thinking/teaching is extremely ABSTRACT RANDOM and dare I say, flighty! She literally makes no sense most of the time.
