In fact, I enjoyed his class and learned a lot. Moreau is passionate about literature and inspires his students. So, recommend to take his class.

I thought the readings were interesting and he lets you redo the essays for a better grade. There were several pop quizzes, 3 essays, an 8 page thesis and the final is 3 short essays written in class. The lectures were a little boring but maybe thats because it was early in the morning and the class did not participate in the conversation.

Tests are extremely difficult even if you read. Unfair grader (especially essays). Very boring lectures. Would never recommend him to anybody. Trust me, there are many better English teachers in GCC.

He is a nice teacher Very boring lectures though His quizzes are impossible You will write a lot of essays Do his extra credits, all you do is go up to 4 workshops, 25 pts each, which helps me keep my grade up Make sure the take home essays are perfect because you can rewrite those but you can rewrite the in class essays for up to 10 pts

Oh goodness. Overall a good class, you learn a lot. You will be writing a lot though. His quizzes were near impossible though. You had to read the entire Sunday New York TImes and he would quiz you on specific parts, like percentages. A bit of a mundane lecturer, but overall worthwhile.

He talks in such a monotone voice which makes going to class boring. When it comes to the essays, he is very picky with grammatical errors. There are a lot of reading in this class. So if you're not the kind of person who likes reading, you might reconsider taking this class with him.

He does have high expectations on your essays, especially your take home writing assignments.But if you read his little comments on your essays it helps you with your next assignment. Yes he does lecture the whole class period but if you listen it will help give you ideas for your next in class writing assignment. He overall isnt a horrible teacher

This class was just awful. I'm really not sure why he's still teaching, it seems to me that he joined this career because he has a love for reading, his love for teaching doesn't seem to exist. I would ask him a question that may not have been to "smart" and he would practically bark at me! I do NOT recommend him.

Stay away! I got an A in his class but he will bore you to tears. There's never a class discussion, it's always just him talking for an hour in a monotone voice. I didn't read most of the stories and just used my phone during quizzes/in-class essays. English has always been my favorite subject but he ruined it for me. It's easy but not worth it.

At first when i took him i wasnt so sure i was going to pass but i spent a good amount of time writing my papers. I barely studied for the quizes and I passed with an A you must be really dumb to not pass his class I loved him he starts mumbling during lectures it's kind of cute lol

Great professor! Everyone whining about how they don't like his class probably failed. Come on people! this isn't high school anymore! You have to do the work if you want the grade. He is a very fair grader and is very knowledgeable on his subject. Definitely recommend him!

I would definitely not recommend this class. There didn't seem to be any structure to the class and the teacher would read exactly what was assigned for you to read the night before, taking up most of the class time. The essays are irrelevant and the tests are almost non-existent. Take this class if you don't want to learn anything.

Yes, there is much reading. Yes, he rereads things in class. But, he is asking questions as he is reading in class and if you pay attention and participate, you will see how engaging he is. He taught me to love poetry and opened my mind to some great authors. I am glad I took his class.

The teacher goes over a lot of the reading, which constitutes most of the class period other than the times he gives essays, which is at least once a week usually twice. Some of the reading is interesting and if u put in a little bit of effort and do extra credit you will do fine. Be warned, WRITE ESSAYS THAT HE WANTS TO HEAR NOT WHAT U THINK
