Comment:

She's a talented dancing teacher and will help you be the best to your abilities. She may be tough on you, but it's because she cares and takes it seriously. She's professional, funny, and clear on her instructions. Take her if you want to truly learn to dance. Don't expect this class as an easy A, because you do have to study and put the work in.

Comment:

Strict but fair. Mrs. Jenkins will not treat you like a baby. She is a no nonsense, no BS instructor. The course can be challenging if you have no experience with dance, in my opinion and since I had zero experience. It was challenging, but doable. It was also an extremely fun class. I got out with a solid B. Highly recommended.

Her lectures are long, tedious, and while giving her powerpoint she gives more spoken details. Those details are not on the power point so you have to write everything down, but she speaks quickly. Obtaining all the info is next to impossible. Would not recommend taking this. It is no walk in the park

Survey of dance is very interesting and she explains dance so passionately. She is a great professor but her class is NOT easy! hands down one of the hardest classes I've had. it was so intense!!! ESSAY like tests and take hours to finish. you have to write in COMPLETE detail on tests or fail. studying and tutoring is a must!!! be very prepared

Michele is such a great teacher and she's so passionate about ballet. Pop quizzes are only difficult is you completely zone out during class. She will stretch your muscles in so many different ways in ballet. She corrects people because she sees their potential for greatness. She's funny and weird, but so wonderful.

I love ballet but not in her class. She grades you based on if you know French which i didnt so i struggled. She will call you out in front of everyone if you make a mistake. It reminds me of boot camp. She gives no breaks and keeps you longer than the class is scheduled for. She'll stop the entire class to ask you why your leaving.

This class hands down was extremely intense. I came into this class assuming that it would be an easy A, but that was not the case. This class felt like taking another English class. Professor is very very helpful and is extremely passionate about dance. I ended the class with a B but it took a lot of hard work. Stay ON TOP OF YOUR WORK!!

She's the best and one of the hardest teachers I have had. She is very helpful if you seek her help. She will not reach out to those who do not care about their education. She does push and expect the very best from her students, gets very passionate about dance and gives a lot of work. However, she has a big heart and she really does care.

She might come across a bit intimidating, but that is just because she cares about what she does and the effort you put in. It can be a tough class, but she is always willing to help you out whenever you ask for it. I would highly recommend her, but only if you are a serious student. She is really good at teaching the technique & giving correction

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I took Dance 1, and I am an A student. I work hard and understand that not every professor is going to be easy or my best friend. However, this professor is unprofessional, condescending, and cruel, and I ended this class with a B+ because I stuck it out. This class is NOT worth it. Pick another humanity.

I was very excited and ready to learn upon starting this class since I had always wanted to learn ballet. That soon changed. I like ballet, I just dread going into this class. This teacher will talk down to you and embarrass you and if she notices you're struggling she will simply give up on you.

I took her for ballet and it was not exactly a class you just go to when you're bored. You seriously have to work your butt off and whenever you're having trouble, she's willing to help. Strict, but excellent.

Teacher is iffy, she likes to challenge her students, but doesn't know when to stop. She will talk down on you, and she wont help you unless u talk to her personally. This is not a enjoyable class, but the material is good to know. The 1st test worth as much as 3/4th of the final. The test after that worth less, and continually decreases.

Michele is an incredible dancer and an awesome teacher. Yes, like some people said, she is critical, but that's because she wants you to succeed. She's very clear in what she teaches. I highly recommend her.

This woman is the most irrational and condescending professor I have encountered at Chaffey so far. I only suggest taking her class if you want to be talked down to and indirectly insulted throughout class. She is not understandable in any way, and does not encourage her students in their classwork.
