Man her breath stink and she talks down on any student that isnt making a B. She will literally tell you to drop the class instead of trying to find a way to help you. I did good in her class and made an A but I peeped how she was treating the other students. It was disrespectful and unprofessional. Not a hard class she just really rude

I will never in my life take Dr. Brown again. She is the most disorganized person ever. I never meet someone who lost students work and then proceeded to blame them. I honestly believe that she has no idea how to stay on topic. She hands out work like it's nothing but takes forever to grade and return. Do not expect to get an A+ a paper. EVER!

Dr. Brown was an awesome professor! She was genuinely caring and helpful every time I had questions or needed help. Her grading was very clear and gave plenty of opportunity for improvement. I would recommend her to every single student. She puts in work to make sure students have everything they need to succeed in her class. Can't say enough good.

She's the worst professor I've ever seen. Class work isn't hard but she's impossible to follow. Talks under her breath and contradicts herself constantly. Told the class about a students health issues & very rude to students when they ask questions. Will call you at inappropriate times (11PM on a Sat.). Says great job on draft & fails final paper.

I've done all her discussion boards and made bad on one test and she told it would be impossible for me to bring my grade up to a passing grade.

I would never take her class again or recommend anyone take her class. Hard to learn anything in her class due to her being scatterbrained and unorganized. She never clearly states what she expects from you on assignments and will constantly change what she wants you do to from one class to the next. NEVER TAKE HER CLASS!

Comment:
While she's a nice person and shows genuine care for her students, Prof. Brown is pretty disorganized. It often takes 10 minutes for her to set up class for the day as well as recap the previous class period for those who missed it so she runs out of time a lot in MWF classes. Assignments are reasonable, gives lots of study guides and supplements.

I love her to death, but Dr. Brown is very unorganized and doesn't give clear instructions on many things. You do have any essays and stories to read.

Dr. Brown is a fantastic English professor. She gave us all sorts of supplemental information to help out with the readings, including videos of scenes from plays and clips from movies. She let us use our books with small post-it notes on the test. Dr. Brown really knows the material and teaches it enthusiastically.

Unfortunately, within the first few days of this class, I was completely confused by what she was assigning us to do. She would jump from on point to a completely different point. In one of the first few classes, she even had us looking at 2 different books at the same time. In a nutshell, VERY CONFUSING PROFESSOR. Not recommended.

She's very unorganized and scatterbrained. However, if you do the work and keep up, you should do fine. I had to write three essays over the semester and if you just do what she says you'll be fine. Very hard to talk to and listen to though.

I will never take one of her classes again. She is very unorganized, and gives way too many papers to read along with the stories that you will read. Test are weird, so I don't recommend her class.

Excellent course; a great syllabus, easy tests if you do the readings and pay attention to the literary terms provided in study guides. The class would be challenging for a non-major, but college is meant to challenge students! Dr. Brown takes an active roll in working with students to improve their writing. Plenty of time to do assignments.

If you're good at English then take this class. It does require A LOT of reading, but most of them are interesting works. There are two relatively easy papers and she doesn't give a lot of directions on them. Still if you like English you will enjoy it
