This professor is a terrible teacher. His lectures are not structured and get very confusing. He gets distracted very easily and is all over the place when trying to teach. Ive never seen so many students struggle in a class before. Worst class Ive ever taken.

Comment:

Attend class and take good notes. As far as tests go, he gives you a study guide with all the open-ended questions and the chapters you need to read about a week before the exam, and everything you need to answer them is in the notes verbatim. The paper assignment was vague but it was really short and if you're a good writer you can make it work.

Comment:

Brasher was an awesome professor for his American Government course. If you show up to his lectures and actively listen and ask questions, you will be fine for the exams. He is interesting and makes the class interesting. The tests are multiple choice and open ended so yes you must extensively study for the exams but he sets you up to succeed.

Comment:

You need to be a good note taker and read every word of every chapter of your textbook or you will fail this class. He knows a lot, but he isn't very good at communicating it. Previous knowledge of the material is probably one of the only things helping me stay afloat in his class, without it I don't doubt I would be failing.

Dr. Brasher is very good professor. His office door is always open and he is always willing to help a student out. Though you get what you deserve in his class. You have to put in the effort for the grade. A really nice guy overall but I will admit he is a little scattered at times. Very smart still.

Brasher was one of the best Poli Sci teachers at Ship. Before law school I took a semester in Europe with this guy and he's a top notch teacher to say the least, among other highlights, he had us in a luncheon at NATO with a 5 star general, dude's got connections. Tough grader, but fair and always willing to help out and point you in the right direction. I say take any classes with Brasher you can......especially any summer one's in Belgium =+)

I went to Europe with Dr. Brasher and it was amazing. This man is very intelligent and can teach you so much. He also has a good sense of humor. He is demanding, however if you are in the major he will definitely help you excell.

These people are crazy. Prof Brasher is very friendly and nice. He is a little hard but one of the best profs at Ship.
