Comment:

He is one of the best people on this planet. He's EXTREMELY understanding and helpful when you ask for it. He tries his best to help any way possible. Since he works in the administration, he's busy outside of class but you can always schedule a meeting with him. He'll stop his lectures to answer a question a student has. Highly recommend!

I love this man so much. He is so skilled at lecturing because he knows that most of his students aren't science majors and are just trying to get credit. His class isn't hard if you take good notes from lecture and use him as a resource in labs. He is always ready to help. He is hard to reach sometimes but not enough to be an issue

Comment:

This has been one of my favorite classes at Belmont. Not only does Professor Ragsdale care about his students, so far as to meeting with them multiple times throughout the day, but he also answers emails on a timely basis. He loves Belmont just as much as he cares for his students and I could not recommend taking his class enough.

Comment:

Dr. Ragsdale is nice enough, but his attention to the class is a little lacking. His lectures are interesting, but the labs are not organized and he often cancels them when I needed to get some extra practice on things.

Probably my favorite professor of that semester. Dr. Ragsdale really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. You have to work for your grade but its well attainable. Would recommend his class to anyone.

Professor Ragsdale had me, a songwriting student, consider changing my minor to Biology, mostly so I could take more classes with him. He made Biology accessible to every student, with ranges of educational backgrounds.

Dr. Ragsdale is a great teacher. He provides his lecture slides online before he teaches so you can print them out (which I would HIGHLY recommend). I printed his slides and took notes on them during lecture which helped a ton. Hes very understanding and approachable. Take this man.

Pretty interesting class. Cancels class often, usually due to things he has to do as an administrator. Unorganized in class. Most of class made As on first exam. Not available at all outside of class if you need additional help. Difficult to get to answer any emails.

Dr Ragsdale is a very nice man but the course is very disorganized. He is an interesting teacher, but he very hard to get in touch with and ignores emails from students. The course isn't terrible, but if you need support and want to communicate with your professor then you should look for other options.

Dr. Ragsdale is the BEST professor at Belmont. His lectures are always interesting, he is always there to help, and he really tries to get to know his students. The class was by no means easy, but his teaching style made it a lot better. I recommend you take him any chance you can.

Dr. Ragsdale is one of the best teachers I have ever had. His lectures are very clear and concise, so they never are boring. Not only is he one of the best teachers, but he is one of the best humans I have ever met. He is so nice and funny, and not to mention that he is always willing to workmeet with students. Comment:

Dr. Ragsdale is an amazing professor. I learned so much in his class. He is super nice and willing to help if you ask. However, his tests are hard. I never made over a 75 on any of them. I learned a lot, but my tests didn't show it. Application based. Labs saved my grade! I would recommend his class if you're willing to work hard for an A!

Dr. Ragsdale is a FANTASTIC teacher! He makes the lectures interesting and really cares about his students. He wants you to do well!! He is the pre-health advisor so if you're looking into that he will answer any of your questions! His tests are tough though, and you have to readoutline the chapters to make an A. Definitely recommend!!

Either overextended or exceedingly lazy. Does not hand back any assignments other than tests. He is a very nice guy and an amazing lecturer but his work ethic is lacking. Will not respond to your emails or provide any feedback on grades bc he hasn't graded anything. Very confusing due dates and assignments sometimes.

Dr. Ragsdale has absolutely been my favorite thus far! He's just so willing to answer any questions you may have, biology related or not. Not to mention he's really easy to approach about a problemconcern. He's fun, outgoing, and there's never a dull moment when he's around due to his undying sense of humor. You won't regret taking his class!

Dr. Ragsdale is literally the sweetest man you will meet in the Biology department. He is so knowledgeable, and is ready to help whenever you need it. His tests are application based, and really hard even if you read the chapters and do the study guide. I have learned so much in his class. Few "grade-boosters" in this class. I recommend Ragsdale.

Dr. Ragsdale is by far my favorite professor ever! His lectures make everything so clear and even FUN. His tests are hard but they are reasonable. Just study everything and read the book. Even if you don't like him as a teacher it's impossible not to like him, he is such a friendly and truly kind person.
