Really great professor. Took Latin. The class is fun and the professor is very knowledgeable and funny. If you take him, please keep in mind that the first 2-3 weeks will be tough. You will want to drop because latin seems hard, I almost did. But it gets really easy once it clicks. The prof will really help. Highly recommend.

Comment:

Professor Knorr is an amazing professor, and the reason that I'm majoring in classics. He's really helpful and willing to go over areas where you're confused. He's super patient and absolutely hilarious. Get ready for some dry humor and sarcastic comments in class.

Professor Knorr is so great. He is very encouraging and always looks for the best in you as a student. Sometimes he moves a little too quickly with new concepts but if you ask him to clarify something he will immediately do it.

Comment:

I had Knorr for CLAS247 and I had an amazing time. He is really engaging in lecture and always open to give you feedback on homework! He is a super fair grader and offers a ton of extra credit opportunities. He does give mini quizzes based off of the readings but they are short and sweet. The readings are also very interesting!

professor Knorr knows Latin very well. He makes classes interesting and funny. He can go through material very quickly, but you just need to ask him to slow down or to clarify/explain things. I am in his beginning Latin course and I am learning a lot.

Comment:

Amazing teacher, Knorr knows what he's talking about and often gives interesting tidbits of information in class. Had him for colloquium, latin and classics and am now a classics major thanks to him! always glad to help students, tough on essays but gives good feedback. I highly recommend taking a course from Knorr, you learn a lot!

Though his initial Germanness is a bit offsetting, he knows what he's talking about and he is really excited about it and wants you to be as well. The man loves to talk about food. He teaching is one the reasons I changed my minor my last semester of college and I thank him. I wish I could still be taking classes with him

Funny german accent, doesnt move his lower lip when he talks. Makes his own bread too because he doesnt like the bread here. Good teacher, good sense of humor, and really nice guy.
