Dr. Cohen will set you up for success. Physiology is a hard class no matter who you take it with, but he provides weekly recitation reviews that help A LOT!! 4 Exams that are all online, but don't think you can not show up to class and look up the answers or you will fail. Attend class, take good notes, go to recitation and you will pass.

Best professor I've had at CSUN. Hardest class I've taken at CSUN. It's A LOT of work for animal physiology, but easy work In other classes. Ive taken him for 2 classes now, and he is very outgoing and will answer any question. Smart person who is very helpful. Exams are really really hard but will curve. Just do all the work and you will be fine.

Dr. Cohen is a funny & amazing professor! Exams focus more on his lectures & ppt than the book. so book isn't needed. I recommend to record his lectures, listen to them & retake your notes. He does give hints on whats on the exams throughout his lectures & recitations. so please go to the recitations & class! Just study a lot & ask questions!

Dr. Cohen is a genius. This was one the hardest class I had to take. Conceptually physiology is difficult to understand. However if you take it with Cohen he sets you up for success. You do have to study a lot for the course, as with any to get a good grade. The best part?I LEARNED A LOT!!!!

Dr. Cohen is a great professor. His lectures are funny and he lets you know "possible test questions" throughout. Same with the optional recitations. I recorded his lectures, listened to them before each test, and got an A. If you put in the effort, you'll get an A, especially with the curve. He teaches well--I highly recommend him for physiology.

This class is not an easy class but Dr. Cohen tries his best to help his students understand the concept of this class. There are 4 exams in total, all of them are curved based on class average and standard deviation. There is also 3 essays to write which counts as an exam. He has student-lecture recitations which definitely helps!

This class is no breeze, may have had better luck at a CC. He curves the entire class. For my semester if you received a 345 then that was a B. However, this is not a clear example of your grade since it is based on how well the class does. If your hitting the average every time in tests (my class AVG309), then you need to step it up for a B!

Prof. Cohen is extremely nice and funny. BIO 281 is a tough subject to learn so overall, the class was hard. His tests are so so, you need to study a lot from his lectures in order to pass each test but, he curves them all. 3 papers a test. Simply show up to class, write down every thing he lectures, and study!! He curves so it's a win win.

Dr. Cohen is the absolute man! His animal physiology class was super interesting and I learned a lot! The labs are a little intense (kill things in class) but they're really intricate and you get to actually see what you're studying. Definitely recommend. Exams come straight from lecture, record them and you're golden.

This class wasn't that bad. There were online quizzes every week consisting of five short multiple choice questions. Attendance does count as part of your grade. There were no exams. There was a 15 minute presentation project on a disease he assigns to you and a partner. But, he grades really easy on the presentation.

Amazing professor. Very funny. Not an easy class, but if you record the lectures, and study the recordings you will pass. Everything you need to know is in his lectures. I did not study the slides or buy the book and I got an A.

Prof Cohen is very good at teaching Physio, that being said, he covers a lot of material, 50+ slides every class. Don't buy a textbook, all of the material on the exams are from lectures. Record his lectures to get an A!!!!!! 4 exams, 1 paper, all curved. No +/- grades only solid letters. Show up and listen B. Listen, record lectures and study A

Nice professor, always smiling. Four tests, all curved, and three papers. Goes over a lot of material fairly quickly, so record the lecture if you can. Either print out the powerpoints before class or bring your laptop to class to add notes to the powerpoints. Don't buy the book and go to the optional recitation section, it's very helpful!

4 midterms they're all curved based on std dev of the entire class's grades. Three papers which in total adds up to one test's grades. If you go to class and take notes all the time, you'll get a B guaranteed. If you really want to get an A though, make sure you either voice record him or type everything. He only tests things he goes over in lectur

The only problem with this class is that the curve is set up so it's easy to pass or get a B but very hard to get an A. Tests are all based on lecture so take good notes and record it so you can go through it again later. GO TO THE VOLUNTARY RECITATION and do good on the papers. Also he has no plus or minuses. Barely got an A. Helpful, funny proff.

tests are hard, but if you take good notes you would pass with B. I just read my notes and I got a B. Do not even miss a lecture because you seriously can't catch up. He curves the tests but it doesn't make that much a difference! if you are planning on reading the power point, let me say you can't. each lecture has at least 160 slides. TAKE NOTES.

Great professor! He knows what he is talking about. His lectures are interesting if you pay attention. Lectures fast, so I would recommend recording his lectures while taking notes. He also offers this thing he calls "Recitation", which I believe is what helped me pass. Definitely worth your time. 4 curved exams, 3 research papers. NO FINAL.

This class is horrible! I was confused the entire semester! He goes way too fast in lecture, and you won't have time to write anything down, so I would recommend recording the lecture. And if you ask him to repeat something, he'll NEVER say the same thing twice. I "failed" every test, and ended up getting a C in the class because of the curve.
