Dr. Gent has high expectations and holds everybody to them equally. She is willing to help if you ask her but won't hold your hand by any means. I learned so much from her and feel that she impacted my career as an educator in a positive way! She was also my supervisor for the field placement part of the class and was AMAZING to have! SO HELPFUL!

Comment:

She was amazing to have for this class. Her class is difficult, but with good reason. The praxis I and II are not easy tests and her goal is to prepare you for them. It's up to you to study and get everything you can out of this course.

Challenging! But, I learned so much from her. I would hate to see the people who passed SPED classes with D's to work with my child... I want to be the best, so i love Dr. G!

Awesome professor. Very knowledgeable and willing to share experiences. There is a lot of material to learn, but it is all relevant to special ed. She is very friendly and encouraging and open to discussion. You can do well if you learn the material she presents.

Although I ended up transeferring schools, Dr. Gent still was willing to help me with problems I was having. Her class, though a bit tough, really taught you a lot. She defnitely knew what she was talking about.

I graduated in fall of 2001 and I was looking at the bad rating, very unfair. If you are truly interested in SPED, then she is not boring. I still recall information that I learned in her class 5 years ago. She is a very good professor.
