Patty is overall an amazing person and teacher. She really cares about her students and goes above and beyond to effectively demonstrate course material. Her lectures are entertaining and she uses multi- sensory methods of teaching, as well as in depth discussions. My only advice is to make sure your APA is on point!

Dr. Meek definitely has a passion for her work, and she actually READS the papers that you write. I found her teaching methods refreshing, but not quite what I would expect from a graduate course- sometimes I felt like I was back in high school... Overall a very good professor, especially if you're interested in learning to teach children.

She is one of the best profs at UCD! If you every have to take Educational Psychology or Cognition and Instruction take Patty for you teacher. You won't be disappointed!
