Dr. Speirs is such an amazing teacher. She is so caring and passionate in what she teaches. Class is easy as long as you keep up with your stuff. Have papers due every now and then along with readings. Just keep up on everything and attend class and you'll do great.

Dr. Speirs is so sweet. She has a passion for art and is very opinionated but she doesn't force it on anybody. Her class is simple, no homework, no exams, no midterms/finals, just a few small projects here and there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

If you can avoid taking her class, do it. She is very righteous and conservative in her teaching and opinions. The lectures are dated and the projects are not really exciting. She talks a lot but really does not really say anything meaningful. I dropped the major because of her teaching and class.

I didn't love her, but I didn't hate her, she thinks everything is wonderful, kind of gets on your nerves after a while. But I would def. say take her cause she does set a very good example for her students. Overall a great woman/teacher

this class is wierd but i can't say she's not a nice woman. we're doing a lot of studio work and not really learning how to teach, which i thought was the whole point of the class, but okay, i'm not going to teach elem anyway. her assigned readings and projects are insane, expect to work a lot.
