Do yourself a favor and don't take this class. He is old fashioned and grades with an iron sword. The smartest kids in class never got a perfect grade. ITS IMPOSSIBLE to make a perfect grade in this class. SOOOOOOOOOOO HARD "REPEAT HARD" and not the good hard. THE im getting a lower grade than I thought Hard. If you're an A student you'll get a B-

It's obvious that he is very educated in this subject, but he isn't very good and explaining. Meaning if you're confused don't ask him any question he will only confuse you more. He doesn't really use the book he may make references but most of his test questions come from lectures so take gear notes. Basically, If you can help it don't take him!

You basically need to remember everything he ever says to pass. When a student asks a question, he explains everything over without answering the question. Sometimes he doesn't even let the student finish the question before he rambles on. If you miss one class you're done for. On the tests he doesn't want book answers, so no need to buy the book.

He really knows the material and covers a LOT. and VERY fast. You will be totally lost if you miss even one class. Don't bother buying the book, he never uses it. He isn't very eager to answer your questions, nor is he very good at it. He often makes people feel stupid when they ask questions.

Very all over the place with his lectures. Doesn't answer questions the way you expect.. ever. Goes over things thoroughly though. You can tell he really knows his stuff.

I did not like Professor Giffin at all. He is very intelligent and knows his stuff, but he expects his students to know everything if he just barely mentions it. Once he explains something he just moves on and doesn't really go back over it. I was always afraid to ask questions in the class because he would make you feel stupid. Avoid if you can

Great professor, knows his stuff and doesn't require attendance or textbook. Listen in class or do moderate reading outside and you're fine. Only 3 grades (essay tests).

He is a really nice guy. You only have two tests and a final. They are essay tests which make them a little tough, but if you come to class and study your notes it shouldn't be hard to make an A or B easily.

I LOVED Giffin however some people in my class fall semester did not. His lectures are very important. Take good notes and making good grades is easy. The people who compained about him are the people who took minimal notes. You have to write as much down from the lectures as you can, but after that its easy. VERY SMART PROF, really grows on you

He is pretty boring. But all you have to do is go to class, read the textbook, take notes and you'll do fine. There are only 2 tests and the final that make up your entire grade, but he gives you a study guide.

Don't take him if you expect to be given an A. You will work for your grade. Only 3 grades are given: 2 tests and a final. Each test has 3-4 short answer questions. He will help you, only if you ask. Very boring. I studied 3 hours a day everyday and received an A.

Utter useless, took him for history of economic thought and made a B. mid term and final plus a book review he will grade and not hand back to you. Dosn't answer emails, made a higher grade in organic chemistry than this class. His grading style is confusing, try not to take him if you can, or be a Kansas fan.
