Comment:

Moyer is a great guy, you just have to be able to listen, as the lectures are pretty straightforward and all he does is talk and write on the board. However, he is amazingly helpful (office hours ALL THE TIME), his tests are very straightforward (especially if you do his homework) and he is hilarious. Also does not care at all if you skip class.

Avoid Moyer if possible! If you can't because of the schedule or something, good luck... Moyer's tests were not a fair assessment of students' knowledge in chemistry. What frustrated me even more was that he did not allow us to use our calculators, instead he would provide you with his which could do so little that you were better off doing by hand

Great guy if your looking to laugh more than learn in the classroom. However, he is not very clear when explaining the material and mumbles quite a lot. His test are pretty easy, if you go to SI sessions and do the homework. If you work outside the class expect an A in the course, if not you won't receive a decent grade.

Good professor and you will learn a lot. However, his tests are not a fair judgment of knowledge as he expects everyone to be a mind reader. Has a hard time connecting with students and gets frustrated easily by this.

Nice, funny man with a great sense of fashion. Always has a comb for hair styling on the go. Doesnt explain material well, but has memorable catch phrases (never leads you down the primrose path). senile man and huge pet peeve is people interrupting him. very boring as lab instructor and not prepared. but we love him nonetheless!!

Class is actually pretty easy, but he's boring, annoying, not helpful, and extremely condescending. You really don't learn anything new that you didn't learn in freshman chem.

Dr. Moyer is the man. He may not always be completely clear, and he may repeat jokes a lot, but he really knows his stuff. And come on, he's the cutest guy in the world (even if he's a little crazy sometimes)

He is really nice but he is so old and senile. He doesn't really understand technology so this makes it hard for him to work and understand blackboard, and he still uses the old projector for his lectures. The class isn't very hard but I really don't feel like I learned very much.

Bottom line: Take somebody else if you can, especially for lab professor. He's a pretty good lecturer with old phrases... (don't throw the baby out...) but he can be kind of a **** in lab. He also induces sleep. Even the TA's didn't like him.
