Comment:

He is super nice and funny. But makes you write a single spaced reflection about each reading before every class. It it kind of a lot with other classes, though he grades them super easy and basically gives you a 10 if you did it. He really cares about having student engagement and tries to make everyone talk.

Managing Systems - Not the easiest class I've taken in the Business major. Franz is a great professor. He is very smart and knows what he is talking about. You are expected to come to class prepared and actively participate in discussions. HW once a week with two tests so the work load isn't terrible.

Prof Franz is really great! The class was interesting and discussion based. While there was daily homework it was not hard and overall you learn a lot!

Good professor but gives way too much work for a 2 -3 credit class. Papers, papers, papers. He needs to calm down with that. Also, calls on everybody. That's annoying.

I think Professor Franz is an awesome teacher. He is very soft-spoken and engaging. He may take over the discussions, but that is in order for the class to understand the content more. He picks on students who does not participate so beware. I highly recommend this class, you won't regret it unlike the other USEMs out there which are very hard!

Comment:

Org Behavior with Franz is completely manageable. He has very detailed Powerpoints and is very thorough in this lectures. He cares about his students and is passionate in his teachings. Tests can be tricky, but material comes from lecture. Show up and take notes and you will be fine!

Dr. Franz is a very engaging teacher that challenges his students. He does expect students to use the HW schedule he handed out and to take responsibility to know when things are due. I really enjoyed him as a teacher and would recommend him.

Tough teacher. Subject is bland. He expects you to know when things are due and does not remind or announce assignments. Tests are tough. Multiple choice but words everything to be the right answer. He talks a lot during lecture. Doesn't give much time to give input. Alright prof, but would have taken class w/other teacher.

doesn't like people disagreeing with him. encourages you to voice your opinion, but if your opinion should be disagreeable with him, he will give you a bad grade. be careful what you say in his class. also plays favorites.

While he can "take over" the discussion sometimes, I never have felt he didn't care about students. On the contrary, I feel he is dedicated to student learning and wants his students to understand the various views of the role of business- both Christian and non-Christian perspectives. His reading assignments really are not that hard either- grow up, we're in college.

Franz was criticized by his own administration for overburdening the students with grad-level amounts of reading assignments. He has no business sense and no idea how to balance his fairytale beliefs with working in a capitalist environment.

I got the feeling that he doesn't like teaching business students. His degrees aren't in business, it's in psychology. he talks AT students, not TO them. Franz can be condescending to his class at times. Avoid this teacher.

Worst teacher I have ever had. I can't believe how much he doesn't care about his students. I do not recommend. Take Denise Daniels instead.
