Human Drug Use was literally the best class I've ever taken at this damn school. There are quizzes every day, but don't let that intimidate, they're pretty simple. Quite a few short papers, but they're super easy, and a couple options for the final. It was such an awesome class, 10 out of 10, so much fun. Highly recommend.

Best professor I have had at LMU. Rene keeps the class interesting and fun as it is a 2 and a half hour class (gives a 15-20 min break too). He is always open to talk and answers everyone's questions. Wish I could take a class under him again! Highly recommend

Hands down best professor I've ever had and one of my favorite people on this Earth. I always look forward to his class and have learned so much from him and not just about the class material but life lessons. He is caring and will help you with anything you need outside of class. Plus he is absolutely hilarious!

Loved Dr. Nailapot. Funny guy, interesting class and not hard information. Just requires a little reading and a few papers that are not difficult.

By far my favorite teacher of all time. Amazing lectures and gives examples based on many years of experience. He gave a quiz on every class so need to pay attention word by word because questions are fill in the blank. However, you learn so much and he is always willing to help in and out of class

One of my favorite classes & professors! Take great notes, his weekly quizzes come from the lecture material (almost word for word). The extra credit at the beginning of the semester will boost your grade tremendously. A very informative (never judgmental) course with clear expectations. Don't let him scare you the first day, he's awesome!

If you didn't like this teacher, you're a snowflake. Open conservative, great teacher, insane experience, funny, and very interactive with the class. If you're struggling, reach out to him, he's happy to help. If you just want to have an intellectual convo, he'll press your mind. One of my best ever professors. He's difficult, but fair and clear

Highly recommend Dr. T! You get what you give. His lectures are compelling and laced with humor and wit, and he actually gives good life advice. He also writes kind, sincere commentary on your journals, if you write from the heart. Gifted writers: just hit him with pure, honest prose. He digs it. Don't judge a book by its look. He's a good guy.

Definitely unlike any other professor I've had, but I would not agree with the negative comments below. Very compelling guy, and his lectures kept me interested the whole time. Take accurate notes, review them before class and you'll do fine on the quizzes. READ THE SYLLABUS EVERY WEEK as he does not give notice as to when things are due.

He's an amazing professor, he's just the right amount of tough. However, it is the kind of tough that makes you want to work harder and harder. He's wise, smart, and funny. Best professor I had so far in LMU. Scary at first, but you will love him in the end.

My favorite professor by far this semester. At first he seems a little intimidating and the work load seems like a lot, but stick with it and its not that bad. This is the one class I looked forward to every week because it was always interesting and almost never the same. He keeps things interesting and teaches you a lot about life.

Topalian is by far the best teacher i have ever had and he taught me more life lessons and information i will use for the rest of my life in one semester. He is very specific about what he wants in terms of assignments - if you pay attention and do what he wants you shouldnt have a problem. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I don't understand these negative ratings. Human Drug Use is a really interesting class and he is very clear about what he wants. There are 2 books, a few short papers, and a journal - it isn't hard. If you're too immature to be held to a standard then that's your problem, but I highly recommend this class as a core for non-science majors.

Class is meant for people who need to fulfill their science requirement..i don't recommend him at all..even though the class is interesting, he made my friend cry and was very rude at times. He also doesn't use a textbook, and never really tells us how he knows what he is teaching..he is funny though but for a core class,I recommend something easy
