Comment:

She responded quickly and in-depth to my emails. She gave clear feedback on grades in a timely manner. Her writing assignments were easy despite the heavy reading at times. And I appreciate how she connected the assignments together so do didn't have to use more than 2 primary sources if you didn't want to.

Comment:

I took ENG2367 online and it was great! The readings were interesting and there were only 3 papers for the whole semester and no tests which was nice. If you take it online make sure to do the discussion boards! Rita always responded quickly to my emails and gave great feedback on all my papers.

Comment:

Took and online class with professor rice over the summer. The syllabus said it was revised in 2011, she had announcements posted from 2017, the discussion board still had people's work on it from 2018. She has taken bits and pieces she liked from the class and put them together into this version. Very few assignments, would not recommend.

dont take a class with prof rice!!!!! i had her for ENGL2367 at cscc and it was terrible!!! first of all, i did not sign up for a history class, but that was our course theme so every single one of our projects was about American history. Secondly, I have never even met her in person but i can tell she is full of herself by the way she types.

I really really enjoyed Dr. Rita's class. It is clear that she is passionate about Science Fiction, and if you are too this class will be enjoyable. She was prompt in grading, her feedback was motivating, and she will email you back promptly. The weeks on blackboard were organized well, and it was easy to stay on track with the assignments.

Professor Rice requires discussion boards each week, which are all history based. Essays are also history based, and she gives amazing feedback as to what you did wrong. An easy A course if you participate and dont wait until the last minute on the essays.

Professor Rice was a wonderful instructor. She has clear expectations that she spells out before class even starts. Make sure you read the emails that she sends and that you totally familiarize yourself with the course content and where to find things in Blackboard. She is willing to help, but only if you've utilized your resources!

Professor Rice was a very understanding professor. She graded pretty quickly considering it's an English class. There weren't too many papers and you have a ton of time to do them, and I appreciate having to submit drafts for peer review. It kind of kept you on track and made for a better paper. Feedback is decent. She is responsive too.

Professor Rice makes you work for your grade. Doesn't use BlackBoard as efficiently as others, but does care for her students. You have to care enough to question her when she doesn't update the grade book quickly or something of that nature, though. Do NOT take this class if you do not like Science Fiction. You will hate it.

very lenient in grading. Journals every week. 3 papers and a final paper. Quick to answer emails. Gives clear grading criteria and if you do the work and pay attention to due dates (important) you'll be fine. Everything is open and accessible in the beginning so you can somewhat work at own pace. Lots of interactions with classmates.

Professor Rice's grading criteria is very clear and as long as you follow that then you will get a good grade. My one negative that I would say about her is that her assignments are extremely boring and all pretty similar. The first writing project was interesting but I got bored after that. It makes it hard to want to do her assignments.

I have had the chance to take two classes with Professor Rice. She is one of my most favorite professors I have ever had. She is laid back and easy to talk to. Show genuine interest in learning and trying you will pass. Writes excellect letters of recommendation!

Rita is not a very good college professor. We hardly did anything in class and every class discussion was based on politics. She did not communicate very well with students and did not grade things in a timely manner, or even at all.

This professor is by-far one of the most organized professors I have ever had. Assignments were easy to complete; feedback was valuable and the grading forgiving. Follow all directions, don't bother reading everything to complete journals; one reading will do to complete the quick, weekly journals. Overall, would take a class from Prof. Rice again.

I took this class online. Professor Rice seemed distant and not very interested in building relationships with students. Cut and dry. Assignments were posted with specific guidelines, if they were followed it was easy to be successful even if your writing is mediocre at best (like mine). Pay attention to detail!

This professor is very difficult to deal with. She does not like when people email her. She is horrible, Makes you right journals that is not even part of the class, she does not give you credit for it at the end of the class. It takes her for ever to correct your homework therefore you do not know if you are doing good or bad until is too late.

On the first day I thought, here is another far left professor trying to push an agenda. Maybe there is a little of that but she just really wants to know that you care about something and that you can put it in writing. Do your work, try to improve and you will get a good grade in her class. She is a really nice women.

Rita was my favorite. I took her in two different English courses writing fiction and comp 2 and while comp 2 was kind of boring in comparison to the other it wasn't her fault. A lot of read, but it's an English class. She shows movies. Generally compassionate if she knows whats up.

Professor Rice is a decent teacher. Probably wouldn't take her class again though. Some of her projects can be very confusing and sometimes she does not give clear instructions on what she wants from you. She isn't the toughest grader but she doesn't grade easy either. Her online class was an easy A for me.

I took the online class. The class was on auto pilot for the first 43 days. We had a weekly discussion board and she never even was a part of it. It was just the students. Nothing was graded until almost halfway through the semester. Emailed her because I needed help on a paper and I got no response.
